Always been a huge fan of Maserati design. It’s beautiful!

electric cars are usually pretty boring, but this looks really quite good. people will complain about how silent electric cars are but the electric whine of this has a very good low pitch sound that i quite like, and the performance doesn’t seem to be holding back either

I owned a Maserati (twin turbo) in High school . I owned a Maserati Quatroporte in my 30’s and a convertible Maserati grand Turismo in my 40’s . I’ll be 50 Dec. & the MC20 is next up !

Time to invest in the old Gran Turismo because that engine is a masterpiece.

It’s nice but such a shame that they didn’t make the Alfieri that they promised a few years ago. That would have been the prettiest car ever. I would have bought two. One to drive and a spare one to drive when the first was at the car wash.

Why does everything have to have 1200HP? I understand that its all about numbers type of market + looks and status, because electric cars mostly feel generic, but still. I guess MC20 is the last car that truly shows why Maserati is actually good and exciting.

Honestly don't know why they didn't follow up on the styling of the Alfieri. The rear of the concept needed a tail flick to finish off the terrible slopping back end of the profile but everything else was perfect and could have been modified for production. Now all we get is a.. Curvy looking GranTurismo... * sigh*

I prefer the old one It adopts aggressive lines, fruit of Pininfarina, with a sharp front face, a feline look.

Not sure taking a random comedian for the first drive bodes well for their confidence in the car, but that looks like a fanatastic piece of engineering

Waited years for the new GT. hoped it would be similar to the Alfieri design, yet here we are after many years got disappointed. The iconic sound is gone the aggressiveness of the exterior design doesn't feel the same.

As a Maserati owner and daily driver I find this an exiting development. But oh boy, what if the went on with the Alfieri-design….. such a shame it was canceled (I believe Ferarri called it the Roma later on…).

I love Maserati. I had the chance of buying the Tesla Plaid model S… but I wanted some roar and my rati stole my heart. I would be nervous to drive one without it’s iconic sound… Definitely need to test drive one, but I would keep my Giuletta when my soul needs a roar 🦁

GranTurismo of course has a beautiful and timeless design which was exquisitely adapted to all-electric drive but Maserati should focus on market-relevant models which means they should do a four door coupe to compete with Porsche Taycan, preferably a completely new all-electric platform.

One of the most important thing on a sport car is the engine sound and they made it sound like a fancy vacuum cleaner, oh man :( Design is great tho.

Still kinda sucks that our future is generating fake sounds just to create a fraction of the visceral experience a good engine can provide. That being said, the only EV I've ever experienced is a coworkers Model 3 performance, and the kick in the pants acceleration EVs provide is a whole different kind of fun. If I had money and had it my way, I'd daily an EV and save a fun manual ice car for the weekends.
