ZF 6-Speed Automatic
The rear muffler was deleted on this car. The catalytic converters and resonator are still in the exhaust.

Was this a full delete? Mid Muffler and rear resonators? I want to start out with only a Mid Muffler delete. I miss my loud ass Chrysler 300c with the 5.7L Hemi. So I want to make this car kinda loud too but not too loud lol.

So the facelift arrived in 2008 with the 6-speed ZF but everything about this car looks pre-facelift. Did some of the last pre-facelift cars also get the ZF or is this Duo-Select?

It is a 2008 with the ZF Automatic. I believe the facelift came for the 2009 model year.

How's the reliability with the zf transmission? The zf transmission gets rid of the f1 pump and clutch problems right?

Yep, ended up selling the car but it never had any problems other than a very stubborn TPMS light.

@@codytucker7560 2007 was the crossover year. Early 2007's still had the F1 transmission.

@@TrulyMotors oh okay so I should look for a 2008-2012 that makes sense cause the Grand Turismo started in 2008 so I assume they have the same transmission thank you for the new information much appreciated

I have the 1997 540i m62 engine. (Saloon) My car has a mechanical belt tensioner. Can I replace my car with a hydraulic tensioner?

I think you meant to comment on one of my other videos but that's ok. I have not heard of hydraulic tensioners being used for the belt on an M62. The regular mechanical spring tensioners seem to work just fine, I would just replace them with new ones. Any particular reason why you need something stronger?

Thank you for your answer. ^^ I think it's meaningful for BMW to switch from a mechanical tensioner to a hydraulic one. So I wondered if the hydraulic tensioner that went into the m62tu engine was compatible with the M62 engine. And I wanted to switch to hydraulic mode. Thank you for your answer.
