Artist's Note: I went lifting right before I recorded these vocals to get into the spirit. I think it helped.
I've been super into this anime since it started this season, and had been tossing around the idea of covering it, but had way too much on my plate to actually get around to it. Then, someone suggested it in my comments section, and that pushed me over the edge to convince myself to do this. I was just waiting for an excuse. Like "well I guess I have to now." LOL
I actually picked up the Mashle manga earlier this week just because I've been so into this show. It's practically customary for me at this point to be reading the manga for any shows whose op I cover. I love this series, it's so much fun and goofy in all the right ways. I actually ended up changing the interpretation of the direct translation quite a bit more than usual for these lyrics, but the themes at its core are the same: words mean nothing without actions to back them up. Since Mash is a man of little words, it's very fitting. I really dig this op, and hope y'all enjoy my version.
And of course, huge thanks to J-Trigger for putting together this instrumental. This cover would seriously not have been possible without his help. He did an incredible job.

Well, I definitely liked this one a lot. Right from the start, this one was catchy. And the lyrics were great as always, Silver Storm. And the instrumental for this one stands out to me for some reason. It sounds epic! Incredible job as always, Silver Storm!

such a great cover for such a great anime! but why did you get rid of the "abracadabra" line? its literally the best in the original song :(

Thank you for your kind words! Unfortunately, we English-speaking folks don’t say “aburakadabura”, we say “abracadabra”. That’s two less syllables, and wouldn’t fit nearly as cleanly into the song. I simply decided that term was too long and took up too much space, and that I could get across my lyrics more clearly and efficiently by scrapping it. I was able to include all the lyrics I wanted to in the chorus section just by getting rid of it. It’s not like I particularly wanted to - it just worked out better to do so. The term ‘abracadabra’ would likely feel lost and out of place in the context of the rest of these lyrics in English. I’m sorry to have disappointed you, but I hope that made sense!

Hi there! I've never seen Dragon Ball, and I have a rule that I will never cover songs from shows that I've never seen. If you're just looking for a full English cover of Dragon Soul, I highly recommend the ones from We.B and Studio Yuraki! They're both excellent!

No, you can find direct translations of the lyrics online on many different websites. English Covers use direct translations as guidelines, because the lyrics directly translated do not fit cleanly into the song - they don’t have the same amount of syllables, don’t make sense grammatically, don’t rhyme, etc. Using the translation as a guide, I completely rewrote the lyrics to fit cleanly into the song. I have changed the interpretation of the lyrics to make more sense in our language, but the meaning is still mostly the same as the original Japanese
