Fireworks are illegal here, but stupidly still happens. I happened to look at the weather. Hot today, over 100, but possibly raining this next week and only in the 90s! Wow! Hope it happens. Joey's designs are always so pretty. Love what you did with these.

Beautiful darlin! Joey’s papers are just beautiful too! Here in Queensland we haven’t been able to have fireworks sit was a very young girl, so, at least 60 years. Same as you we get the large displays on special occasions. It’s because of the severe fire hazards as well. Thanks so much for sharing J’s freebie 😊💚🇦🇺xxx

Fun Fact: Actually, you can purchase fireworks 🎆 in Nevada. There's 100's of Safe and Sain booths in almost every store parking lot. They're placed also on the side of the roads. For the illegal fireworks people drive over the hill to Pahrump. They have huge stores. Their open 365. However, if you're pulled over by NHP. You'll get a huge ticket, and the illegal fireworks will be confiscated. The majority of people will take the chance to buy illegal fireworks. You'll see them over the entire city of Las Vegas and Henderson. The safe and sain. They sell sparklers, as well as fireworks. They're considered safe. At my daughter's house. Every year, her neighbors drive to Pahrump. They'll spend $1,000's + and set them off at the park across from my daughter's house.

That’s crazy because I grew up in Virginia City and we seriously never had any type of fireworks. Never saw them for sale in Carson or Reno. The fire department would put a show on each year but that was it. I never knew you could get them there.

OMG! I love Virginia City. I lived in Reno for 5 years. We'd go and visit all the time. We'd do all the touristy things. The Church is beautiful. The food was good too. The table where they played Russian Roulette. 😬😱 There's so much history there. Anyway, I can't remember if Reno had fireworks or not. We lived in Reno back in 1990 so long ago. Then, we moved to Vegas in 1995 and are still here. But yes, here in Southern Nevada. You can definitely purchase legal and illegal fireworks. Btw I really miss Lake Tahoe. My only adult son moved to Reno 2 years ago. Have you ever been to Scoopers in Sparks? The absolute BEST milkshakes.

@@craftycat7212 there are hundreds of applicants per jobs these days. She will need to create an on line presence with her work, ie.. a portfolio of her work so a perspective employer can view her style and art. They need to see she is an active graphic artist. She can can do free work for non profits to build up her portfolio. I don’t’ know her particular avenue of graphic art work. I was a newspaper editor and worked with graphic artists who created our advertising, I also worked with those who created media and marketing materials etc.. There are headhunters and job agencies she can register with to help her get placed. The days of getting a degree and just applying for a job and getting it are pretty much over. The more her work is seen on social media the more likely she is to get a job. I hope some of this was helpful.
