I have had my Mason hamlin for 40 years and feels so blessed that this is the piano My piano teacher Told me I should buy she even went with me to pick it out. I am so pleased to 1 day be able to give this piano to my son and his family. my daughter-in-law and grandson both play the piano.

I am so pleased to say I have had a model 50 walnut for over 45 years! Plays like it did the day I got it from Altenburg Piano in Elizabeth, NJ! Also have a model M Steinway baby grand and the sound is awesome, but not as brilliant as the Mason. Luckily my daughter is taking it for my grandaughter to learn on which makes me even happier I can play it over their house now!

What is the name and who is the composer of the piece you are playing on the model 50? I have been listening to it on your Web site & went to the KZfaq site to learn more. It sounds so familiar, and I am anxious to try it on my recently acquired 1940 mahogany Mason & Hamlin Model B.

They Mason & Hamlin model 50 generally has a street price in the low 20 K range, according to Fine’s supplement.

I would recommend buying a used M&H. They are hand crafted so can easily be passed down, rebuilt, etc from generation to generation. We were looking at a used upright 50 for about $11k but ended up getting a used Yamaha YUS
