Whisk some heavy whipping cream till simi firm, then whisk in a can of sweetened condensed milk add 1tsp of vanilla whisk then chill. This will be the cremeiest 3 ingredient ice cream you've ever had. Yes, even better than the one you made because I've done that 1 before. I'd make my own Berry sauces to put in it to swirl it through as well as chopped nuts or chunks of chocolate or any kind of candy bar pieces, and believe me, it's delicious!

It's hard because you have to keep agitating it to break the ice crystals up into smaller and smaller pieces. The smaller the ice crystals are, the smoother, and creamier the ice cream is. On the other hand, when you just let the whole thing freeze at once, you basically get one giant crystal, which is pretty much ice. That's why ice-cream machines constantly stir, or in other ways, agitate the ice cream the entire time it's on. Once it gets to about the consistency of a melting soft serve ice cream, you can take it out and put it in the freezer to finish firming up. I highly recommend everyone try making ice-cream the right way with the proper setup. The difference in flavor is astounding. If you do it right, it'll be the best ice-cream you've ever had

It's best to use a dipping plastic container because the ice cream/heavy whip won't be so hard frozen. Also, not taking any risk of the glass freezer burning the ice cream and causing shattered glass too crack! I make 4 ingredient homemade soft serve ice cream adding either real minced 🍓🍑 or if you like just a little of melted white chocolate with 🍓.... or if you want soft serve just regular milk chocolate 1 can of sweetened condensed milk with 1/2 cup of original Hershey's Cocoa Powder blend together until it's well blended and then add too heavy whip shake until ready for freezer I add chopped pecan pcs which gives the awesome original taste of what used to be sold called pecan milk chocolate divinity ice cream! Also if you want chocolate/peanut butter ice cream add 1 can of condensed milk to your heavy whip and 1/2 tspn original vanilla extract and chop into tiny cubes add about 1/2 cup of mini Reece peanut butter cups /blend gently do not stir/shake until all has firmed together should be firm but creamy textured look, place in freezer for at least 24h enjoy! There's many flavors added original type ingredients you can try in very simple soft serve ice cream but you have to add condensed milk in order to get the soft serve similar to how blue bell soft serve dips up... You can sample if you don't want it very sweet then add little of condensed milk at a time test until you have the sweet taste as you like your homemade ice cream too be. For diabetics you can use heavy whip with 2 tblspns of condensed just so it can help ice cream be not so hard in serving/1/2 tspn vanilla add in berries or natural type fruit sweeteners the diabetic wants peaches work great mince them in thin slices place in 1c cold water bring too a low boil remove allow to sit to side while preparing everything, drain well, add into ice cream mixture, don't stir, I use a reusable plastic straw gently push added fruit into bottom, close, shake until all is well blended and place in freezer check every 6h soon as you have the consistency you want for ice cream, remove, serve... Enjoy 🤠

@Definitely not Gourmet: Sir, if you were to use a mason jar that’s not shouldered, but instead it’s basically a cylinder, when your ice cream comes out of the freezer you could just leave it standing for a few minutes, and you could just slide it right out and slice it up to share with your family very easily. No trying to scoop hard ice cream out of a shouldered jar. Thank you very much for sharing your recipe. The recipe that my parents used when we were growing up, included some pudding. I’m not sure exactly how that would factor into your recipe if you chose to try it, but the one they chose to use was usually the Bird brand custard Power; But it seems to me that occasionally they used Jell-O putting powder in it.❤️

Makes almost a half gallon. And there's no leftovers after all 6 of us eat it all. 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤ There's 6, 7, 15, 27, 38, and 60 yrs old ppl. No one gets left out. And we all get whipped cream on top.

You’re not wrong - extreme caution should be used if doing it this way, and if at all possible, transfer the whipped cream mix into a freezer safe container prior to freezing. Tbh, we go through a lot of store bought Greek yogurt in our house and always seem to have quite the stash of plastic tubs & lids, so those are what I use anytime I’m doing anything like this. The only glass that is safe for extreme temperature changes like this is Borosilicate glass. Although both Bernardin (Mason) & Ball canning jars (as well as Pyrex cookware) were originally made from Borosilicate, but unfortunately are now all made from soda-lime glass, which absolutely cannot withstand that type of extreme sudden temperature changes. Mind you, I also don’t make whipped cream this way either due to having pretty severe arthritis in my wrists & hands, so these days I just stick with my stand mixer the kids & husband gave me several years ago. (This whole getting old crap is for the birds, lol).

@tawana2inspire I have them. They would definitely break if I overfilled them like that. I'm not sure his didn't, and it wasn't an edit, or he took some out off camera before that freezing. Yours haven't broke because you are experienced and I'm sure you would never fill them like that for freezing. Some on here are not and will have freezer full of broken glass. 🥰

@J374338 Yessir, lookin' good; said by someone of the Trini diaspora, brought up with those hand churned homemade ice cream makers. But please, Mr. Tipsy, don't take offence, I love you, but next time it might be better to not eat directly from the ice cream scooper - I'm thinking, if I was there, I'd be wanting a taste myself. Right now! But not from a scooper that's just been in someone else's mouth. Comprende? Love you still, & I've already fwded this, & will try it out myself. Blessings, bro'!

Reminds of when my kids were little. We made roll the can ice cream. We put all the ingredients in a small coffee can put the cover on then in a larger coffee can with ice and rock salt, cover on and then roll it back and forth to each other. We had ice-cream. My kids thought it was so cool. We also did the same thing with zip lock bags. One quart bag and a gallon bag and shake it.

He made frozen pink whipped cream, not ice cream. There's a reason why ice cream is also called frozen custard, you need to add eggs AND they need to be cooked. That's why this stuff froze so hard. It can't be that tasty. When we were kids, we used to make a faux ice cream with red soda pop and sweetened condensed milk - we'd put our coins together to buy it and then someone's mom would free it for us. It wouldn't hold up long but it was sweet and cold. We called it Passion.

Add a tablespoon of corn syrup to that and it will be creamier and won't have ice crystals when it freezes. Also, I would add pureed strawberries if I wanted it to be like strawberry ice cream.

Leave out the salt or just add a tiny pinch. No food coloring is necessary (unless making strawberry or cherry, and want to). I beat 4 cups heavy cream, 2 cup of sugar, and extract in a bowl until firm. Add 2 cans of Sweetened Condensed Milk (plus berries/nuts/chips, if wanted), and beat again until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a bread pan, cover in plastic wrap, and freeze 24 hrs

If you put the cream in a larger bowl with a lid after shaking and lightly stir it every half hour or so as it freezes it should be nice and soft.
@elyotube1
@elyotube1 Жыл бұрын
The only thing with those kind of methods is that the ice cream would never become fluffy or soft, instead it becomes hard ( as you can see on the video) and that affects the eating experience. The only way to get the right consistency is letting the ice cream mix go through a heating process and than a proper ice making machine:) Now, I'm not saying one should not try this method, the result is still eatable but not the same as the ice cream we all know:)

I've been doing a variation of this since I was 6 yrs old in kindergarten. My teacher taught us. I never forgot it either and I'm in my 30's! We got baby food jars and coffee cans. The cream mixture goes into the baby food jar and shake it up until thick. Fill the coffee can with ice and a bit of salt. Then put the jar in the middle of the coffee can with ice. Put the lid on the coffee can. Then you roll it back forth for about 5 to 10 min. Boom! You've got homemade ice cream. I've done this with my kiddos for years. Especially on summer nights. My girls love it and so do their friends. You can probably find The exact process I've described somewhere on the Internet.

What are all the measurements? Do you know?
@Lyzi.B
@Lyzi.B Жыл бұрын
@@Kimhaas007 well, I've never really measured anything when I do it. It's to taste. The main ingredient is heavy whipping cream or heavy cream. Fill the jar almost halfway with that. The rest is subjective to taste. Add tiny bits of sugar if you like it sweet, a tiny splash of vanilla to add extra flavor, tiny pinch of salt to balance the flavors. None of these things are necessary though, only the heavy cream. You can even add different things like freeze dried strawberries. They're always a hit. Fresh chopped bananas are good too. Even chocolate chips, crushed cookies like Oreos, or chopped candy bars.. it's all about what you like. If you make it plain, add sugar. If you add extra toppings to the mix before shaking it up like I've mentioned, no sugar is really needed. Hope this reply helps in some way. Happy ice cream making!
