People that don't have finger function avoid wearing pants that have buttons because they can't button/unbutton pants themselves. I have found a way to button/unbutton and zip/unzip pants. I wear jeans almost every day. Since they can't button pants independently, they resort to wearing pants without buttons. In this video, I show you how I button/unbutton pants. I am a C3 incomplete, so I use sweats! Very instructive and well done video. I hope to do some myself for people who don’t have use of hands or Tenodesis

Yeah, I tried wearing sweatpants after my injury but started to sweat down there. Which is weird because I'm not supposed to be able to sweat. Goodluck on your videos! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I have RA which has seriously damaged fine motor skills. I struggle the most with jeans. Sometimes I use scissors to make the button hole slightly bigger. Just be careful if you try that because you don’t want to make it too big and then it falls out.

Hi Mason. I want my new client to start wearing his jeans again, I just don't know how it works with a foley....he wouldn't need to zip up as he gets help dressing in the morning anyway so us nurses can zip for him for now. Maybe you don't have the foley anymore? Are you straight cathing? If so, guess you must zip!

I have full feeling in my thumb and index fingers, partial feeling in my middle finger, and the others I can't feel.

@@masonx54 she has something they call transverse myelitis, fluid on her spine..she lost all use of function from neck down at first but she has gotten limited ability in her arms back..We are looking into doing a surgery called nerve transfer to maybe get some more use in backarms and fingers..have you heard of transverse?
