j'ai toujours une tendresse particulière pour cet instrument qui me semble un peu mystérieux et un immense admiration pour l’artiste qui sait lui faire offrir a l'oreille de merveilleux accords

Bravo maestro!! Que encanto tiene el archilaud?(creo no equivocarme) Un hondo misterio del sonido de otras épocas.

No te equivocas: el archilaúd es un laúd grande. A pesar de eso, hoy en día diferenciamos entre archilaúd y tiorba o chitarrone, dependiendo de cómo esté afinado y de su tamaño. En este caso, lo llamaríamos tiorba. Saludos

Y las cosas pueden ser mas difíciles. No se en Castellano, en Italiano se habla tabien de "liuto attiorbato" :)

Muy hermoso! Se dice que los laudistas dedicaban la mitad de su tiempo a afinar el instrumento y la otra mitad a tocarlo; con el teorbo creo que el porcentaje de tiempo para la afinación es mucho mayor!

De hecho Johannes Mathesson decía que si un laudista vivía 80 años, 60 eran para afinar ;)
