@@darkmaguire9656 I hate Liara, she's my least favourite character in any game I've played / books I've read / movie I've watches / show I've binged. It's nice to know she isn't as unkillable as she appears considering she's got more plot armour then god. Much like people use the killable children mod in Skyrim (I don't) because they find the children annoying, I've spent hours looking for a killable Liara mod, only to be left disappointed that there isn't one that I've been able to find. She's a poorly written p*rn parody belonging character that is the bane of everyone of my Mass Effect playthroughs but I'm stuck with her because not only can you not kill her off, you can't turn her down when she insists on barging in where she's not wanting and insisting you're in love with her when you've just insulted her, her entire race and everything she stands for right to her face. It's nice to see her get the same treatment as the actually good characters that can die if you eff up.

@@darkmaguire9656 Game 1, no matter what options you pick she says she senses a connection between the two of you and you have blantantly says you're not interested in her, game 2, she hugs you like a lover when you go see her then acts like a pissy ex the entire shadow broker dlc, and just the overall way she talks and acts. Now I'm a high functioning autistic so I might be reading her wrong but to me she's just always screamed creepy obsessive stalker with the way she talks and insists that she's special to shepard, it's even with how she talks to other characters that shepard IS in a romance is, it comes across as bitchy and like shep's cheating on her for being with them.

Whether or not they die (and not just them, anyone in your squad can die at this point of the game) depends entirely on your EMS rating (Effective Military Strength), which gauges your overall readiness for the final mission. EMS rating is dependent on War Assets that you've gathered throughout the game, decisions made in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 that you've imported. Participation in the multiplayer game mode can potentially double your EMS rating. But really, unless you've done a bare minimum playthrough, this shouldn't happen. Do the sidequests and the Leviathan, Omega, and Citadel DLCs, and you should be able to avoid this.

Yes. They're worth what you pay for them, but you can avoid this ending without them if you do enough side quests.

well no, but you need incredible LOW war assets to get this scene... and for that you have to ignore nearly every other content and only doing main missions without any DLCs. In the legendary edition its impossible to get this as paragon. only as renegade you can reach that low, and only if you dont import from previous games... its safe to say, it was always intended to be canon that Liara survives, as we can see in andromeda. But nevermind, all the ME3 ending are shit anyways.
