Mass Effect Andromeda space battle for Meridian. This is the final battle and fight for Meridian edited down to just the action/fight scenes with the Spaceships. Ryder and The Andromeda Initiative battle with the Archon over Meridian and the Human Ark, Hyperion.

@@bossshun9 isn't they an ancient race of technology advanced race called the jardaan in the Andromeda galaxy judging from They technology they are atleast as advanced if not more advanced than the reapers and They themselves have a enemy of they own asswell right? So why would one reaper be a problem even the milky way races can kill one reaper so I don't see a more technology advanced race having a problem with one reaper. And one thing that keeps bothering me why didn't the reapers go to another galaxy and do the same thing in the Andromeda galaxy why didn't they? You know what I think I think that other galaxies have races that are as ancient maby more ancient as advanced maby even more advanced than the reapers infact I don't think the reapers were that advanced at all they did see the younger races as a threat they themselves said that the younger races will surpass them which is why every fifty thousand years or so they return to purge the galaxy of the younger races so they can't advanced to the point we're the reapers can't be a actual threat. So Galaxy's that never had a reaper presence will have more advanced races in them like the jardaan which is why the reapers never went to another galaxy to purge it because they can't do it with Races like the jardaan in them.

I mean, I could criticize ME:Andromeda for longer than most, as I hate almost everything about it, but that is just ridiculous. The concept of a Dyson sphere precedes even the first thoughts about making a Halo game. This thing here and Halo's "shield world" are both based on the same thing and they are pretty common mentions in sci-fi. To suggest otherwise is either dishonest or uninformed.

Not as awesome as you may think. Forget about cutscenes where ships are in visual range of each other. Even modern navies would never get this close to their enemies if they could help it. Railguns in the original trilogy shot their projectiles at 3% light speed. That's 9000km/s. You could easily shoot enemies from hundreds of thousands of kilometers away. The "gameplay" would be about positioning your fancy ships and shooting into the void, then waiting for 10s or more for the projectiles to arrive and a second more for the light to bounce back so you can see the explosion.

Apparently that was one of the original goals for the game(they were aiming for a no mans sky kind of game) but due to having to use frostbite it was too difficult to actually do and the devs took too long to say "Oh to hell with it we're going to make it more like the trilogy"

They wanted to show that they had every intention of coming in peace, but yes their absolute lack of any kind of weapon that would allow them to deal with Kett cruisers in a head-on space battle worried me greatly. Tempest doesn't have any guns, the Nexus doesn't have any defense systems, all they had were shuttles and fighters and I'm very shocked that at no point in the game is this concern addressed. They have schematics for warships on the Nexus, you can see them on display in the Pathfinder hall. Coordinate with the Angarans and get some warships built already. You are going to need them. Even better now that you have all this Remnant tech, you can build Milky Way/ Angaran / Remnant Hybrid ships.

Yeah I wish each arks had 2 or 3 deployable cruisers attached to it. I miss the Turian & Alliance cruiser designs. Still, I'm glad we got the Alliance fighters. They look sweet.

So, that's all the Archon wants. Just to use Meridian to change everyone into a mindless drone. His story could've been way better if they really took the time to make him better. "All I want is to just destroy all of you." Me: "That's it? Have you met the Repears? They make entire galaxies shit their pants."

@@bossshun9 Would've made a fine arc. Then suddenly the Archon has to work with Ryder and the rest to kick the Reapers out of Andromeda. It might get a bit cliche--then the Archon realizes that rapturing was a bad idea all along, or the Reaper battle weakens the Archon's forces just enough that he can't keep fighting the collective forces in Andromeda--but it would have been a step up.

Archon’s morivations are distinct form other Kett leaders, who pursue more military or religious objectives. Archon is rogue. Contrast that with the “well-developed” Reapers, lol.

The fact that I played ME1 8x, ME2 18x, ME3 4x. And MEA still to be finished. Says enough about how I think the game is ;) They dropped the ball with ME3, (game was great, ending was killing everything, even when you saved the galaxy...), but they forgot to pick it up when making MEA imo.

Say what you will about this game but the part where you're charging across the battlefield in the nomad with fighters flying over head and wreckage raining down on you. Easily an awesome scene in the game. Even if I wasn't fighting, that part of the game was a thrill right, especially on higher difficulty.

the gameplay and story have a lot of issues. but i will at least give this portion a thumbs up just because it feels like people u have gathered 4 the end actually have an impact/influence on the end. kind of like ME2

happy hoodwinker In a way, I can see your point. Then again, the trilogy had 3 games - long enough - for us to get attached to the characters. If Andromeda is turning into another series of its own, I think that might be enough for us to really resonate with 'em.

EA also set impossible release date target for them. COnsidering the time and manpower conditions they were working in the result is really good. Especially when you consider that many many issues were fixed in a couple of patches.

Considering most of the Council races use the GARDIAN system and that most if not all of those "missiles" launched from Kett warships would be shot down easily before they reached their intended targets, I think that whole Kett "armada" would probably be easy game for an Alliance patrol fleet. A couple of cruisers, a dozen of fighters and let's say six frigates would be MORE than enough to rip them to shreds. A single dreadnought could also do the trick. Not to mention the Destiny Ascension. From what we've seen in cutscenes and gameplay through ME:A, the Kett's military technology is decades behind those of the Turians, and probably even the Alliance.

Aurex Other than the missiles which would be negated by guardian defence lasers and mass effect fields, they Kett don't have any other useful weapons for space combat. Also no shields

i own all of Bioware's games except Anthem. ME:A and DA:I (great looking game...have spent many hours playing) are the only 2 games i havent beaten. It is the whole sandbox, fetch, and find that throws me off. It is the reason i have never finished a Bethesda game....even though i invest 100's of hours in each game. Too much to do and lose interest in the story....and when the story is trash...well.

All the design of the initiative is human. It was a human centered program that later invited the other species. So ya most of the fighters and ships brought are gonna be human.

Yeah, I'm STRONGLY of the opinion that the benefactor was in fact The Illusive Man with a voice changer. No actual proof, but given the way TIM liked to play all the angles, and that at the time there was no guarantee the Lazarus Project was even going to be successful, I would be EXTREMELY surprised if he didn't at least have his fingers in it somewhere.

I doubt any DLCs will come, Mass Effect: Andromeda did not offer a season DLC pack - though it still could happen. But BioWare Montreal is no longer a game-developing company, it is now a support-studio. Even if DLCs were planned, chances are that it won't happen unless EA hands that task over tó another company.

I imagine it would have been a part of any DLC, but since they released the game in this horrendous state, it bomb shelled hard. So hard it kind of killed the studio. Playing the game this late after release, there are now patches and mods that make this game, I think, much closer to how it was intended to be. I greatly enjoyed this game. Some of the dialogue is campy and cheesy, but this isn't a sequel. The most critical reactions i've seen of this game come from people who grew up with the original trilogy. I dunno, I didn't hate it.

This game may not have qualities that ME fans wanted. But I like Andromeda alot, thank you. I loved the setting of the story, I loved the ships, I love Tempest and the many cutscenes that come with it, Loved the landing scenes and places you can land onto, Loved the space battles too and Meridian

The Tempest felt both awesome yet out of place imo. In and of itself and as a civilian hero ship, it is awesome. The problem I have is that it is a decidedly civilian ship in a very militaristic setting. Even if it supposed to be a civilian/exploration type setting, it is heavily militarized. That is really a microcosm of how I feel about this game. Lots of things I can point at, which I really like. But are either out of place like Tempest, or simply disconnected from everything else. caveat: I spent over a thousand hours in this game with maybe 2/3-3/4 of that being mp. So overall I certainly enjoyed it as a game, yet the way I remember it can be summed up as "yeah _____ was neat BUT..."

Keep in mind that ME3's battle featured millions of combatants, even billions, and it took a lot of preparation to achieve a galactic protection.

*The decision to not bring warships could have been adressed by giving the player multiple side quests and missions to allow minimal fighters, warships and cruisers to be built so that your ingame progress contributes and pays off in this scene for a greater battle sequence longer or equal to ME3.* *At least 1 or 2 warships, a few fighters (considering they are small to build) and a few cruisers.* *Any more would be unrealistic to construct in such a short time (considering how massive they are) unless the devs actually implemented construction outposts (further ingame) for these exact missions once you've allied with Angara.. Any sooner wouldn't make sense considering we were an ark not an army.* *The army would be created later on.* *Anywho, it could have shown us that relationships with Angara and other worlds will greatly benefit the construction of these ships to defend Helius and Andromeda effectively/progressively.* *More relations = more numbers = more workers.* *Specific technological advancement missions for remnant, kett, angara etc would have also shown that relations within andromeda is a priority for everyone in Andromeda to survive the Kett and eliminate the scourge.* *Imagine having Angara, Asari, Salarian Turian etc all coming together & serving together as one big family to confront the kett.* *Combining tech from multiple species later in the game could have informed you that due to your mission scouting, material findings and research datas from these "advancement missions" has greatly jump started the constructions progress to get these ships built faster.* *Not doing these missions still could give you said weapons but will come at a cost of some ships getting destroyed.* *Just like the ME2 upgrades for the Normandy that came at a cost and in ME3 if you weren't thorough ships got destroyed.* *Or they could have had your character age a bit lol due to the fact the war with the Kett could have lasted a few years therfore making these warship constructions feasible with enough time on their hands.*

Miura marley Why is it that players can think of better things to put in the game than the actual developers? Playing this game kinda felt like rinse lather and repeat for each planet. ME 1 and 2, you had no idea what was gonna happen on every planet you landed on. The listening post side mission with the rachni charging the alliance base in me1 was an awesome little addition. I never really felt something like that in this game

ME Andromeda may have had few memorable moments (if compared to ME1 at least), but this final battle was pretty cool imo. Watching all the allies you've made through the game come together against the kett, fighting in this lost world of an ancient builder race, racing across the fields with upside down mountains and those floating giant machines above, and the final fight against the archon... It's a shame Bioware dropped Andromeda so quickly; a sequel that properly developed the ideas introduced in this game could've been great.

You literally just described the Shepard ME Trilogy lol. You literally rallied your allies you made along the way from the first game to the last to fight against an ancient machine race. Other than the graphic improvement, Andromeda was very lackluster compared to the Trilogy, that's why BioWare dropped it.

So, this is like the Battle of Citadel. The first part where the Tempest went to the Remnant ship was the mission to Ilos and this is the part where Shepard goes through the prototype mass relay to the Citadel to stop Saren from activating the Citadel and letting the Reapers into the Milky Way.

So many people who have never played this game or completed it, hate on it like crazy. Sure it has tons of flaws but it's still good. It deserves a sequel. They can set it much further in the future if they want but they really shouldn't go back to the milky way.

If they can get a better writing team, then yes a sequel could redeem the flaws. The dialogue fell flat of just failed on many occasions throughout the story though. Liam and Gil definitely need some work on their characters for sure. Game-play was really good though. I wasn't a fan of the open world though, open areas can work but it would flow better if it had a solid linear story taking you to NEW areas each mission. Felt wrong bringing a planets viability from 0-100 in what felt like just a few square miles.

The Mako has much better shielding, the cannon, the machinegun, and immunity to environmental hazards. The only downside I can think of is a lower top speed and a lack of weight which makes it bouncy. Still, the Hammerhead was the best.

The issue was, the things Montreal was supposedly good at, even though they did listen, became its downfall The moment i first played it, I couldn't handle looking at the character creation, next i could not bear to see were andromeda species only having 2 advanced beings, the kett and angarra. See milky way, it has a proper history of how the species (ao fucking many) entered a warring state then coexisted while we have andromeda, ugggh so ket attacked heleus and angarra were hunted nearly to extinction.

@@wellmakeitworth1316 We only visited one cluster in Andromeda. It's much larger than the Milky Way, anyway. Also, the Kett are present elsewhere in the galaxy, too, as evidenced by the fact that the Archon had a superior who was not present in the Heleus cluster. There were the creators of the Remnant, too, who disappeared relatively shortly before the Initiative's arrival. This cluster was dominated by these three species. We'll certainly see other new aliens, if we ever get a sequel set in another part of the Andromeda galaxy. That's a big if, but still. Another reason we didn't see other new species is the same reason why the game turned out to be so lackluster: it was rushed through hell. EA at their best, I suppose.

I'm new to the trilogy, I played Andromeda first and I loved it... I decided to play the trilogy and I loved it even more. Still, even if Andromeda is not as strong as ME2 or ME3 story and character-wise... it was very decent, and the pathfinder team was great... (I agree the face animations were crap, but still).. I don't get the exaggerated hate.... it comes from those same whiny teenagers that complained about ME3's ending...

@@Qrzychu92 True but then ME3 ws always meant to have a big finale as it had 3 games building up to it This was always meant to be a more light hearted smaller story a bit more akin to DA2 than an epic fight. I think despite everything Bioware did at least achieve what they set out to do i the end even if it wasn't as well received as they might like. I loved the trilogy still do but I prefer to judge games on their own merits rather than compare one with another, MEA may lack the overall epicness of the trilogy but for me it's still a solid and enjoyable game which is why I still play it regardless.

Shadow Broker They have in know way fixed the animations, they have fixed a few of the ones that had been made into memes. The voice acting is awful, both ryders, most of the people at the nexus sound like they have had there souls suxked out. So lifeless. Don't get me started on some of the salarians and the female krogen. The only people who sound good are Drack, the turians and the Angara. The story is boring as hell, and a slight rehash of the previous games. The Kett/Collectors who turn the people they capture into husk/anointed. The protagonist is studying an ancient race that left behind tech that could be the key to defeating the Kett/reapers. It's the Protean/Jardaan tech that left behind. Exept the story is boring, there is no draw, the Kett aren't threating at all they just look like giant molar heads.

Neal Schwartz Have all 4 pathfinders. Sarissa either has to have her secret kept OR Vederia has to be made Pathfinder. Dunn dies if you don't have 4 Pathfinders. Sarissa won't help if you disgrace her publicly, yet keep her as Pathfinder.
