In this chapter, Commander Shepard takes the Normandy all the way over to the remote planet Virmire, where a seriously battered group of Salarian scouts has recently discovered a secret research lab presumably run by Saren himself. After it turns out that the research in question has been focused on curing the Krogan genophage, things get a little hot with Wrex; fortunately, the Commander manages to alleviate the situation by reminding his Krogan ally that Saren can only be using the results for his own nefarious purposes. Subsequently, Shepard and his team infiltrate and destroy the base, during which they learn that its main purpose was actually to study the effects of "indoctrination" upon organic beings - and that the technologies for that come straight from Sovereign, Saren's "ship", whose secret is finally revealed for the Commander in a dramatic encounter. After a personal run-in with Saren himself, the company succeeds in wiping out all the results of his activity on the planet with a nuclear device - but the final decision comes at the price of a terrible personal loss...
[NOTE: This video is part of a complete re-recording of the Mass Effect Trilogy in its Legendary Edition, replacing my previous recordings of the original trilogy. There are no significant differences with the previous playthrough, as the main reason behind the re-recording is not to present a different path, but rather to make use of the enhanced visuals and present everything in higher video and audio quality. In addition to the base Legendary Edition version, the game uses a set of custom-made mods to enhance visual performance even further (LEUITM, MELLO, ALOT, etc.), as well as the "Community Patch" and "Diversification Project" to correct occasional bugs and restore a few pieces of cut content.]
