Ikr. There is so much bad info in this post. 1: It's not weather. 2: There are no mass evacuations. Just a few hundred people. 3: Stromboli is not the largest volcano in Europe, that is Campi Flegrei. Or if anyone wants to be fussy the largest obviously active volcano is Etna. 4: Stroboli is not 10000 feet tall. And 5: There is only 1 volcano on Stromboli but the narration pluralises. This is what happens when AI is used to narrate instead of the video producer taking time to properly research and edit a script.

Massive explosion sends tall ash plume rising over island Update Thu 11 Jul 2024 - VOLCANO DISCOVERY A very strong explosion occurred from Stromboli volcano a short time ago, at around 14.10 local time. A massive ash plume rose from the summit area and drifted over the southeastern part of the island. Friends on the island reported that while the explosion was not very loud, it generated and was felt as a strong shock wave that rattled doors in the village. The eruption triggered a pyroclastic flow racing down Sciara del Fuoco and reached the sea surface. Collapsing parts of the flow generated lifted ash plumes, known as phoenix clouds. The seismic signal shows a strong explosion that lasted approx 5-10 minutes. A spike of volcanic tremor was recorded as well. Further details are not yet available. We expect to update when official sources report on the event

Here is something a little bit worrying, I have an app that shows the world wide volcanic and earthquake activity, and there has been a dramatic increase in activity in Sumatra, Hawii and of course italy ...now Sumatra currently has actively erupting volcanos but the worrying thing, is Toba is located in Sumatra and Campei Flegrei is located in Italy...those are supervolcanos. I've had the app for about 2 years and I've never seen this level of activity before

Volcano eruptions are really catastrophic for us, and not just the people living nearby. All that ash gets into the atmosphere and moves around the Earth pretty quickly. @@1Waarheid I simply said that when volcanoes erupt in more than one place around earth, the effects can be devastating. We have seen these effects in modern times often enough for scientists to understand the consequences. One does not have to know people who have observed these events in person to have correct details. It is reported with great detail, by knowledgeable people. The recent study of the Icelandic event showed clearly the devastating effects one volcano can have. One doesn’t have to be there, know people there or do more than look at reputable news sources to understand what I said is true.

Fyi it's the opposite, Stromboli having regular eruptions within each hour and Aetna having strong activity every few years 😊

Stromboli is on a small island off from Sicily not on Sicily itself. Etna erupts a lot. We happened to be in Taormina one year when it erupted and the lava could be seen from the road near Taormina

There are a few mistakes here. Stromboli is a vulcano in the Lipari Islands north of Sicily, Mount Etna is near Catania. Also the video shows volcanic ashes, not lava. Vulcanic ashes are the reason why flights to Catania have been cancelled.
