Officials have ordered mass evacuations as floods continue to ravage Southern Russia and Northern Kazakhstan. Tens of thousands of residents have fled the Russian city of Orenburg and many homes have been damaged or destroyed across the border in northern Kazakhstan.

The war in Ukraine has been a strategic failure for Russia. Russia's oil and gas facilities have been attacked, destroyed and damaged. Russians have not yet come to terms with the recent humiliating concert hall attacks. The black sea naval fleet has been humiliated. Now this flood is adding to the misery of Russians.
