MASS MAKING TUTORIAL -Jumbo Paperclips - Tina’s Weekly Workshop 42
Hi - wk 42 of my Mass Making projects. This week, are quick and easy jumbo paperclips, which of course you can adapt these and make them in any style you like, for instance if you don't have the jumbo clips, you can make these in smaller size going with the paper clips that you have to hand. Great way to use up paper scraps. Hope you manage to craft along, and get some serious mass making done with me during these workshops which I am hoping to upload every Tuesday. Thank you for joining me, please give this video a thumbs up, Tinax

Tina thank you for saying people should just try to relax and embrace the situation. It is so nice to hear a positive voice. The air has improved the beaches and oceans are healing, families are playing games, watching films and eating meals together. I have been embracing this time and set aside a few hours a day to have a good clear out of an area. Glad your family has been doing the same!

I just get caught up in what you are doing, listening to your stories and learning by being inspired by what you do. I have learned so much, but also really enjoy my “time” with “you”. I don’t understand people being fussy about it. I just think the time flies and if I’m in the mood, the times just slips by, happily. So I love long and short videos. I think you’re doing fine. 🌸🦋 I’m not sure there is a perfect formula, and you can’t please everyone all the time. So, you do you...

I love your videos just the way they are. Your videos have a great format. 1. You have the introduction of what we're going to do. 2. Then you perform the task in detail. 3. Then we make more showing variations. 4. The final review of what we've made. Anybody can always watch your videos watching only steps one and two for the basics if they only like short videos. If not, they're welcome to watch the whole video for the deluxe version. Now, the people who post quick videos must assume all crafters are on the same level as them. Not so, when you have questions they generally go unanswered. Some people don't have time for the audience because they're busy cranking out journals for sale every day. You never make two journals the same and I applaud that.Your journals are originals, not cookie cutter products. You Tube has plenty of videos for everyone's taste.

And if I can't watch it all, I will just come back to it a little later. So, I say, do the video the length you want, I think most people would adjust. Love these cool paper clips, Tina!! I keep forgetting to tell you how BRILLIANT an idea it was of yours to use dried baby wipes for wiping up the glue that squishes out from under you project!! Seriously. I had been using paper towels for a long time but they have a tendency to sometimes leave a little paper trail behind and then you'd need to try to clean that off with your finger nail. But I saw you using the dry baby wipe and decided to give it a try and and couldn't believe how wonderful they work!! They clean away the glue nicely and if there is any residue left you can just use it to rub it away (especially if it's FabriTac). Sometimes it's the smallest things that one learns from tutorials or watching mass makings that you learn some of these things. So I'm never bored and usually learn some new idea I can give a try ... like not gluing down your banner so that when you go to put it in your journal you have a choice of direction - - I love the way everyone shares their ideas! Thank you for doing the same!! Also, I like longer videos because I'm not able to get out much and to have the people I watch on KZfaq just share their lives with all of us is a nice thing. I really don't like the fast forwarding that some do and when someone comes back with several things all done, there's no way of knowing how they made a certain item look the way it does. So all that to say, thank you for talking to those of us who may not be able to get out as much as we'd like and being a sort of "virtual" friend who shares what she's learning. ~❤️🌹 Lois

Oh thank you so much Lois, I really appreciate your taking the time to comment and for your kindness. I also feel like I am crafting along with friends during these mass making sessions especially. Btw, the wipes wasn’t my idea, I had seen others use them, but had never been sure if they had dried them out first! Lol. I always just leave a bunch out to dry when I am running low, then I always have some dried ones to hand x

Tina, I haven't watched a ton of your videos, but I'm watching more now than before...or rather listening. I spend a lot of time alone. I play videos while I'm crafting for a little human connection. Longer videos are nice for me because they tend to be more chatty, and I NEED that. I need to feel I'm not alone in this awful time. So thank you for long videos. Those that prefer shorter can just stop when they get the gist. I'm going to listen to your stories! BTW...I just downloaded a ton (like 40!) of your digis from etsy a couple days ago. Thank you for giving great value! I like the colors and images very much, and was quite pleased with the cost. Keep up the good work! I will be sticking with you.

Hi Tina, these are great altered paper clips. As far as the length of videos...it depends on whose doing the video. As far as your videos go, I love your long videos mainly because of your stories 😊. If a video is really long by other crafters, I will fast forward through them because a lot of us already know how to do what they are showing. Maybe what you are doing is repetitive, like the mass makes, but I do so love that you share your family stories. As I’ve said before, I have 6 children and 16 Grandchildren, and so many of your stories bring back so many memories of when my children were young. I commented on another of your videos about how dramatic the girls are. I chuckled when you told about your daughter saying she was going to look HIDEOUS!! 😂. I had always wanted one of my kids to be missing all 4 of their top front teeth. Don’t ask me why 😊. Well my fourth daughter granted me that wish. All four of her top front teeth fell out within less than a week. She was in first grade and school pictures were in a few days of her losing the teeth. She said she wasn’t going to smile for pictures because she was just “so embarrassed “. So on picture day, I told her what I had always wanted, and hoped that she would smile in her picture for me. And she did. That year, funny enough, all of my children took the best school picture ever. I still have the pictures from that year hanging on the wall. So, I say, keep the long videos coming along with your stories. Stay safe and sending lots of hugs 🤗. Linda

I love and enjoy the mass making videos. I actually prefer the 1 hour videos over the shorter ones. I feel like I gain so much more from the 1 hour. Whether it is just "MeTime," and I am taking a break, or if I am viewing to craft along, or viewing to learn something new...the one hour is just a nice fit. Honestly, some of the shorter videos are just too short (under 20 min). Even if I don't have time for a long video, I can always come back to it later in the evening which is great! You had me laughing with your daughters comments about losing her teeth. Kids say such cute things. Thank you for the great video. I keep thinking I am going to start mass making while your video is playing, but I would want to record a video then too.

I will admit that when time is short for me I've skipped ahead. Then I find myself missing hearing about your life. (I'm in the U.S. so I love hearing you chat about your life in England.) So I have to go back and catch up. Truthfully, part of one's success on KZfaq has to be their personality for me. I follow a number of people that don't relate to my life at all. Ladies who have to cook meals for large families, ladies who home school their children all the time, folks who live off grid, folks who have nothing to do with me as I'm 75 and live in a suburban area with my husband and our pets. Its better than TV..! And if I'm indulging my craftiness it is even better. You are an all around pleasure, Tina..! Do a bit of each, short and long, but if it makes you happy I'm sure it will come through and we'll all be happy.

Oh thank you so much Charlotte, I really appreciate your feedback on the video length. I am thrilled that you feel you can relate to me and my life 🤗🙃😊 . I also love hearing about what people are up to in their videos, especially when they live in different parts of the world, it’s always interesting isn’t it? Take care and stay safe and well x

Love the altered paper clips! Thanks for sharing! I really like your mass making videos! I also like the hour long format of your videos. I can see where you might need to throw in some shorter ones occasionally. Do what feels comfortable and right for you. I know that at times, I start a video and have to finish it later.

I need to get some jumbo paper clips, these are gorgeous! I like a mix of both longer & shorter videos. I confess that depending on the content depends on if I skip forward. If it's a longer one that maybe I don't have the time to watch in one go I pause it & come back to it. Do what feels right for you, people will watch!

Hey Tina, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I love your little chat with us on family life. You are so sweet. I also loved Knight Rider hehe. Now your number probably walked off the desk like things do with all of us. And you make your videos as long as you like I will watch them whatever length. And BTW Thank You for showing how to make the banners so easy. Wow.. And the paper clips are just fabulous. I will be making them for sure.

Hi Tina, thank you for sharing your videos, all of them wonderful x As you are always talking about GLUE lol, please share this:we all look for the perfect universal glue,I have found an AMAZING one:BOSTIK white glu..that's how it's spelt!..for crafting, modelling, painting, dries clear, tiny amount needed, for paper, card, wood and fabric, and can mix with paint etc,it gives 3 in 1 a run for its money!! I bought a 118ml bottle in pounstretcher, stationary section for£1.99...I went back and bought more,as I looked on Amazon to bulk buy but be warned it was £21 a bottle!!!! I think you will love this glue, comes in a cute bottle, great control tip too, with a cute lizard on the label. Please tell your viewers it will change your life, but buy from pounstretcher!!lots of love, and thank you for bringing crafting and newsy sunshine everyday, Gabrielle xxx
