One thing I do a poor job of explaining is what I mean by the "Priorities" and how they are associated with money. What I mean is, the highway standards, if we are to follow them, seem to involve spending a lot of extra money to ensure that cars are able to go over the speed limit. How about we use some of that extra money to, instead, match the "natural speed" of the road to match the speed limit?

So, to be honest, the ride doesn't seem to be awful (which I find pretty great) - it is very strange though. I mean, looking from my European perspective not doing some basic landscaping on those plots of grassy land is a crime. Another thing: the atrocious curb-sized sidewalks and stop signs. I just don't get it. These two elements of US-American "pedastrian/bike" infrastructure is something I cannot comprehend. Why are you doing it to yourself - what for? Sidenote: Thanks for your video! (Could you not block the thrilling view with info screens please? 🥺)

This is actually a great ride! Definitely the best in Fort Smith. I hate to make a video full of criticisms, but it's important me to at least get them notated as we consider future improvements elsewhere in the city. I don't know the story of the grassy lots or the sidewalks, but I agree with you there!
