Filmed 7/2021 showing the rebuilding of the Fall River Secondary Track between Weaver St. and New St. in Fall River, MA. The video includes footage from Weaver St. and New St. as well as two clips (Bowenville/DMV) of MC delivering the ballast hoppers to the work site. Throughout the video you'll see the progress of the work and finally the first train over the new track at New St.

Wow a complete rebuild nice looks like there there for the long haul. Where did they get the funds? Probably a small local company?

The state of MA is funding the track reconstruction in preparation for restoring commuter rail service to Fall River in 2023.

@@WA1LBK they had not a commuter rail since the Penn Central merger and the formation of amtrak

There are times when a line has come to the end of its life and whatever maintenance is done on is never enough so the only option is to replace it in full. Is it going to be double track all the way.
