The combined Gaelic Choirs singing "Sine Bhan" conducted by Raibeart Macallum, outside Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 22nd October 2022. This followed their parade through the City of Perth, marking the end of the Royal National Mòd in the Perth this year. There followed a handover to the leader of Renfrewshire Council, Lorraine Cameron, ahead of next year's Mod in Paisley.
The Royal National Mòd (“Am Mòd Nàiseanta Rìoghail”) is Scotland’s premier Gaelic festival, organised by An Comunn Gàidhealach, a celebration of the Gaelic language, music and culture, promoting its relevance and value in modern Scotland through a varied programme of competitions, concerts and fringe events. The Royal National Mòd welcomes fluent Gaelic speakers and Gaelic learners alike, as well as newcomers who wish to learn more about the festival and join in with the celebrations.
