As a mechanic im glad im not the only one that hates drum retaining screws being done up to 10,000 nm torque. No need at all .

Brings back memory's of brake jobs on my 71 Econoline. Younger then so wasn't a big a deal to find the springs in the grass(much better eyes).

G’day Lance I’ve done a lot of those brakes and the bloody spring is always a pain in the ass, it was worse on the Pajero because you put the drum brakes on first for your hand brakes , followed by the rotors it was alright once they were on and your right about the small screws I’ve had to use a impact hammer on them. Have you done something with your lighting because it’s very bright the background and the top of your arms and beard are really white, good to see your back working on the tractor good one Lance regards John

is there a right and wrong way to put brake shoes on .is there a top and bottom?

I got a mf 148 multipower that the brakes on the left side broke. I changed the shoes and tighten both the star and the rod but i still don't got any brake power. The pedal fell right to the floor when the brakes broke so we had to tighten the pedal rod very much, it seemed like there was something wrong because before the brakes broke the pedal was fine but after, it's resting position was some inches away from the floor and there was a huge difference in the both pedals' rest position. After we tightened the rod to get the pedal bak up at a normal level, we tightened the brake star a bit more but i still got no brakes. In comparison, if i brake to the right i can feel my tractor napping to the right but absolutely nothing happens when i brake to the left. And when I press both brakes, i go straight to the right. What should I do. I'm bad at explaining in english cuz I'm from norway 😬

why are you fixing tractors for? they add to the climate crisis, people re dying, how dare you!
