I have to say mucker, as a 15yr old lad looking for his first tractor these videos are not only very entertaining but I’ve probably learnt more from a couple of your videos than the past month of “school”.😂

I had a 165 for about 30 years it was the best tractor I ever had

Forty years ago I was sat on a 165 at 06:00am rain or shine, a true workhorse.

The Massey Ferguson 165 and 135 was the first two Massey’s I drove on my own . Earlier my dad had aMF 35 & 65 I rode on them but to young to drive them. We had many different Massey’s under 100hp. Today I have a 1990 MF 3070 92hp. My brothers have a 471, 451, 35. I also have a IMT 539 deluxe it the same as 35 MF with power steering.

We had 2 MF with 203 Perkins in them a 65 mk2 and 165 brilliant engines .thanks for a brilliant channel

We have a retired MF dealer in the area, that still maintains his business shop, but no longer sells new equipment, His devotion is to vintage models & he has knowledge & a collection of parts that might stock an Assembly Line. Went there once to check if he had a radiator hose that would fit my IH. He threw me out, if it isn't a MF issue, keep out !!

Ford 7810 series 3. The coolest of old fords in my opinion and still an impressive tractor. Drove them when I was younger and I really want one now.

The last two tractors I drove for a job was a 1986 Fiat 160/90 then 1988 Massy Ferguson 3680 Datatronic. Very different tractors but both awesome pullers in their day.Fergy was on 16.9/36 front and 20.8/ 42 rears which I thought was a unique combo then,so either of these two would be nice to see👍.

My late father bought and sold these. I can recall a couple of these being bought and sold when I was a boy in county Donegal,Ireland. Great memories 👍🏼

My old one came with wide tyres but I managed to get 36 inch from a dealer in Orkney they were off a 300 series but helped with the ploughing great video 👍I still have a lot of parts so just need find another 165 again

I once bought a MF 135 Vineyard that was in a Briar patch for 20 years. The only thing on that tractor that wasn't stuck was the Little Perkins AD3.152 , loyal AF 😆

Just completed my restoration of a MF165 Multi Power last year. Here's one for you My multipower would not work, why someone had removed the pump. Could tell loads of stories about that thing. So watching your video was very good as you never know what your buying in some older tractors. I would like to see you go over a Ford 4600 tractor. Really enjoy your videos like your no nonsense approach.

My 1969 Massey 165 runs perfectly its a Beast of a machine iv put some crazy loads on the back 3 point. My grandfather had both the 165 and 135 and never had a sized moter.

Podge, Put decent sized tyres on the 165, 18.4x28 and 7.50x16 on the front. That is how they were delivered here and with a proper roller drawbar they were expected to spend their lives pulling machinery that was too big for them. They were a bit under powered compared to their main competition the Chamberlain 9G but most managed to hang together somehow. My Ford 2000 has 14.9x24 on the back and 6.00x16 on the front and looks good shod like that. That is how it would have been optioned when new as well. Jeff.

Thank you for this series, have a 1970 MF165 inherited from my father. Clutch pedal is so worn that you can cut baling twine with the pedal. Same issue engine will not move or turn by hand gives me the confidence to try the same actions.

There is only one tractor for me the iconic Ford 7000 used one in the 70s such lovely tractors to use.

Always liked that era of Massey's. It's missing the front weight bracket. Kind of gives it an overbite look. I'd be proud to own that one. Expected to see a Joe Pesci insert at the drive thru. Best regards from Indiana.

when i was about 11 my old man was a tractor driver relief cowman, he used to let me steer an old D B 25 going down a track to the milking parlour bloody hard work without power steering, aaahhhh happy days. Like to see you do a vid on one.

Last time I was up there I took the kid that worked for us, We pulled up 6.30 AM sale day and the kids absolutely amazed to see 3 Masseys the same on a truck going in. I told him you'll shyte your pants when you get in there and there's 200 more of them before you get to the other Massey models or the ford line, he'd never seen so many tractors in one place . That was another day were foreign aid money was being wasted, the auctioneer was standing between the brothers stopping them beating the crap out of each other during bidding wars. It's kinda concerning when the chopping hands off motions start with those boys they aint buggering about ! In normal times do they still have those good heart attack inducing breakfasts they were worth driving from wales for, without going to the sale.. Take care

Nice find there, I missed out on a MF135 a few years back, it was in very good original condition, it was for sale at a farm only five miles from home. The guy wanted £500 ! I told him I would be back with the cash in a couple of hours, the bugger sold it before I got back. It had been on that farm for years , it was the best MF 135 in original condition I had ever seen. I was gutted and not a happy bunny. A few years before that I missed out on a Tripple D . Win some loose some. I did great on three non running JD's a few months later that I had for nothing and sold them on for a great profit. Your vid reminded me on the 135 I missed out on. My Ruston Bucyrus 10 RB is being delivered on Thursday. Will do a vid on that for my channel

4/65 Nuffield. May be a little vanilla in flavour to you, but less so elsewhere in the world. Big like for this video as the Massey was/is big time popular in our area. Finding price jump in similar era 40 - 60 hp tractors, especially with a loader. Not for collectors but for regular duties to ward off increasing the hours on more expensive newer machinery, of which service and parts are getting over the top. Not even going to mention cracked heads, rotting hydraulic hoses, etc etc just out of warranty even on Kubota's. Similar there?

I’ll admit, I don’t know shit about tractors but like many of us, I was intrigued by the Belarus crawler. I did a little search and apparently Belarus 🇧🇾 rigs were sold in the U.K. Not sure how difficult it would be to find one, but I’d love to see a Belarus tractor ‘will it start’.

Another great video 👍 John Deere 4040S , this was the first big 4wd tractor I drove as a young man. It seemed huge compared to the ford 4000 with a ripvator 3point forklift that we used to unload steal with.

'Ere, Mucker, how far are you from Cheffins Cambridgeshire sale ground? - Me dad always wanted to get there, but never did. Well that old Fergie started like any early 165 would do - we had a 1969 model that we referred to as the "towster" (pronounced as toaster) because the only way it would start from cold, was with a tow, and this was 1972 I'm talking about! So 'Fud's' is a good one, and like ours, once warmed up, it'll start all day from the key. What size are those rears? I'm pretty sure ours came from factory with 32"s on the rear, and 6.50 x 16 on the front. Same rear tyres as our '62 Super Major anyway. (Now that was a legendary tractor that would start in -30*C - without ether, or a heater plug, either!). Maybe you could do an episode on the Super Major? Or perhaps the much maligned DB 885? Personally, I'd like your take on a DB 1290 (I have one right here, and wonder if your findings would match up with our experience). Mind you, ours has a 12/1390 'Frankenmotor' that my dad built for it!

My old one was on 38's with large fronts thing was a quick tractor had multi power was a bugger to stop as brakes hardly worked got a zetor you can come look at backend locked up not brake bands left it standing in the hedge and engine seized from water getting down the exhaust

The old fud weasel got more jam than bloody Hartley's even the wings (( mud gards)) on the old 165 look good from what I can see in your video's and it sounds not to bad at all I wish it had been a multi power as that was my lime spreding tractor when I was contacting in and around Somerset, another good video thank you mucker, Mick.

ford 9700, never seen one in the flesh, but the greatest of the big fords when i was a kid
