Great review. Massey ferguson have done a good job with the 8s models Being able to choose power shift or vario transmission is a good thing. John deere and case ih are busy competing with each other to notice Massey is quietly taking a bigger section of the market. 👍

When you said "efficient" l thought ohh no, a load of technocrap. However, l was wrong and pleasantly surprised by the "basic spec". If l was a farmer or contractor wanting a 200hp tractor, with no all electric technocrap then l would want that tractor. I prefer basic over fancy, less confusing array of wretched buttons and more easy on the eye layout. Top stuff, brilliant tractor and a clever bit of marketing by MF.

It’s very difficult to ‘not’ have technocrap these days Jon, particularly when you get to this size tractor, but I really think MF are onto something with the 8S efficient spec model and it’s ability to have more things to pull or turn manually.

If I was to have one I would "downgrade" it for the black, think it looks real smart, not saying other options are bad though.

Really great vid, great to finally see an efficient spec 8s usually you only see ex spec, I actually really like the black trim, looks really good, as you say not everyone wants all the gear, was that an efficient 1 or 2 spec out of interest, we still haven't seen an 8s here yet! Hopefully it will turn up soon, really enjoy the channel 👍

Thanks Paul - from memory this tractor is efficient one spec, so it has all 4 manual spools and screen mounted on window bracket 👍

You wouldn’t want it Ken, it’s a wreck of a thing that was bought by someone on eBay for a lot of money, but isn’t worth a quarter of what was paid!
