My grandfather had one of these tractors when I was growing up as a kid. His had the chassis rails extended in the front and had a big "rolling-pin" styled weight he made out of some heavy steel pipe filled with concrete. It wasn't a show queen, but it wasn't a rusty heap either. It started up every summer with no issues and pulled many trees out of the woods over the years for fire wood. :)

That's my dad on his tractor that he restored. I claim no part of it. :D He was getting it fired up for use to go rescue a free David Brown 880 from the woods. This thing pulled the DB like it wasn't there. :)

@@mikeellis5524- My grandfather bought a '52 Ferguson when he came to Canada, so my father also has a '52, although not the same tractor. My father farmed with it and some model of International (B-?) until he got a David Brown 770 back in 1968. We kept upgrading to bigger tractors over the years but the 770 is still in his possession and restored. I have a '50 Ferguson, myself.
