Signing players had never been the problem but the teams attitude. When we bring new signings, they would perform in their 1st season and join the lukewarm attitude of the entire squad. It's more of "if you can't beat them, you join them" attitude. Matic, Di maria, depay, lukaku, casemiro etc. Infact, most of our FLOPS went to other clubs and got their mojo back. Eg sancho, defender in Roma, Depay, Di Maria etc. Our players must be psyched up. Don't score 1 goal and relax, press upfront, charge your opponent don't just stay in his front blocking nothing, wingers mustn't be selfish and feed the strikers, Fernandez mustn't be looking for Hollywood passes all the time, Rasford must look up before shooting inside the box, forwards must learn to chip the goal and not shoot when too close to the keeper. Winning is the goal, not personal glory. Psychologists are needed in that team.

Guys i made sure and checked the stats before making this comment. I know Hojlund is ours and we want him to come good BUT .....whenever we say that hojlund is better than halaand or is a "better footballer" we're FACTUALLY being biased and crazy. Halaand has been showing up as an elite striker since 2018 in molde fc , he had three seasons before that that were duds , but since that 2018 season in molde fc the guy has been racking up impressive games to goals numbers. He also has been winning individual accolades at both international and domestic level before moving to city or dortmund showing that he was standing out among his peers , he has 6 footballer of the year credits across three countries ( Norway , Austria , England) , 7 top scorer credits 3 being before moving to city ( 2 international and 1 at champions league ) and hes a 2 time player of the season holder with 1 coming in from when he was in Austria. Hojlund on the other hand had his best season of his career so far at U19 level playing for Copenhagen ....... does not have any individual credits ( player of the year , top scorer etc ) meaning he wasnt standing out among his peers but has team accomplishments ( 1 FA cup , 1 Danish Champion , 1 Austrian champion ). They both have played in similar leagues also , austria and england . Reviewing the careers its kinda easy to see why halaand has the confidence he has , he has factually been a standout talent as a striker in his generation so far. Now i know we can probably say its the same for zirkzee (this isnt a zirkzee v rasmus thing btw ) but they are different types of striker , halaand and hojlund however are same type striker. I do hope hojlund does turn into something worth while , tho now going thru the stats and career history i kinda fear that we may have snapped at this player without the best research , consideration and had a bit of desperation due to circumstances , but guys realistically any comment that hojlund is a better footballer or striker or whatever ..... isnt looking good and isnt in anyway factual, maybe hes a better person lets go with that..... better person. edit : i know this wont get likes but its just the facts that can be looked up.
