The Fat Boy challenge; a spicy 5lb big bbq Sandwich with Mac & Cheese and a 60 minute time limit! The meal is free if completed, otherwise there is a $65 price tag. This was some delicious Carolina bbq and a very very hard to eat bread! I truly enjoyed my experience at this place, and the staff were excellent!

Great job on that huge sandwich!! I think if it were me eating, I think I would have politely said, I will gladly answer any of your questions AFTER this challenge but right now I have to finish because it is a timed challenge. I feel like I saw someone else just doing this challenge? Looks amazing, glad you enjoyed! Funny how it smelled like BBQ in the airport, most likely from vendors trying to sell the local fare. The south is extremely serious about their BBQ.

Heck yeah Joel. Another delicious looking challenge down. The loaf of bread looked tough. I think a good strategy woulda been taken the top half and dumping the slaw on it to help soften it up while you devoured the rest. Way to make a good time out of a tough situation from that cancelled flight. You da man.

That's awesome you are tasting is probably just red pepper flakes Texas Pete Hot Sauce vinegar and a little brown sugar we love to put that when I barbecue or pulled pork sandwiches

As someone who's lived in Charlotte for years, this is definitely how Charlotteans behave. They generally care about folks, and they are interested in how you're doing. If Joel has said, "Thanks, but I need to focus here", they most certainly would've backed off.
