Aurora, on watching this video: “This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen with my heart. Yes I cried a little. Yes I peed a little. This is just wonderful. I don’t think I can imagine anything more beautiful than a group of people standing together. Singing a song for the earth. Thank you so much for this.”
Filmed Oct 27 2019. Arrangement and conducted by Phia / listentophia / phiamusic
Guitar: Joshua Teicher / joshuateicher
Mixed by Nick Huggins
Recorded by Myles Mumford
Edited and directed by Semiconductor Media
Filmed by Sophie Townsend and Aaron Cuthbert
Lighting Design by Maddie Allen

Just found this version because im in love wz this song and the message is so strong. I think aurora's version is like the angel telling humans to stop our acts, while this version is the trees and the environment crying for help. Insanely beautiful!

It’s so great she’s starting to infect us. And this rendition is a testament to just how powerful Aurora is. She carries that song by herself. Saw her perform in a room with 300 people. It was the most electric feeling I’ve ever had at a concert. There were 60 yr old men weeping, housewives tribal dancing, 12 yr old girls screaming, Security guy next to me was sniffling... incredible. Till queendom come 🤘🏻

IMHO it would've sounded much better if the guitar was replaced with war drums. Just imagine. It's like a whole tribe going to battle. I appreciate the effort and stylistic choices but the overall reverb makes the song's structure a bit blurry and takes away the "wow" effect. Drums wouldn't have been blearing with the choir's harmony- instead, they would add an entirely new and distinct sound, smoothing out the overall rythm.

Just like the seed I don't know where to go Through dirt and shadow, I grow I'm reaching light through the struggle Just like the seed I'm chasing the wonder I unravel myself All in slow motion [Chorus] You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no [Verse 2] Suffocate me So my tears can be rain I will water the ground where I stand So the flowers can grow back again 'Cause just like the seed Everything wants to live We are burning our fingers But we learn and forgive, nah [Chorus] You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no [Bridge] Feed me sunlight, feed me air (In a place where nothing matters) Feed me truth and feed me prayer (Dancing around a shooting star) (And every cell remembers what have taken us this far) Feed me sunlight, feed me air (I see images of killer whales) Feed me truth and feed me prayers (Sleeping in a desert trail) (Dreaming of a parallel world where nothing ever hurts) (Dreaming of a parallel world where nothing ever hurts) [Chorus] You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no
