Were watching it in slow motion but for this rider, the accident probably felt like it happened in slow motion. When you adrenaline is pumping and something goes wrong, it feels like time slows down during an accident as your mind tries to consider every outcome.

I don’t even know why I click on crashes from Isle of Man. Anybody that’s ever had a real bad crash or personally knows and is close to someone that has knows that sometimes you’re unlucky if you live through it. People always say “oh good he lived” not realizing many horrible crashes leave people with severe life long injuries where quality of life is minimal. I wasn’t quite as unlucky but I’ve been hospitalized for a period of time and bed ridden after for months, many surgeries, physical therapy, and many years later my issues are getting worse and they never were good after the accident to begin with. Just a little worse I wouldn’t have wanted to wake up. Whenever I see a bad crash I can’t help but think of how bad the injuries could be if they survive. Just saying death isn’t always worst case scenario. I read this rider not only lived but would be racing in a few weeks (few months ago). Landing on a car broke his fall, very lucky.
