Aww poor gerbils I might possibly get gerbils for my birthday in October but maybe I could ask my parents about them? It is extremely unlikely that I will though.

There are lots of boys looking for homes still! I’m currently fostering Pumpkin alongside a group of brothers from the Mid Norfolk Branch, all are really lovely, curious and gentle and deserve a loving home 🥰

What a shame. My sweet boys are from a rescue society, exactly the same thing. Unexpected litter! Glad I was able to get them from a reputable organization in the USA.

Wow! 60 gerbils! I had a hamster when I was young. Loved it very much. This is certainly an important video that all pet owners should watch. I am an artist and I share my painting demos and studio tours here. So much variety on KZfaq. Have a great day!

That's a whole lot of gerbils! The problem with social species is when they get mis-gendered and this kind of thing happens, definitely worth double checking these things! Good luck with your channel, I hope you have a great day too ☺️

It's sad some people refuse to take full responsibility for animals and their well being🙁

Yes it is, but it's also a problem that pet stores are so rife with misinformation that they lead people into a false sense of security, I don't think it's totally fair to put 100% of the responsibility on the owners to do extensive research and find out every single little thing, if owners could even get the basics from pet stores like correctly sexing animals and basic care information that would go a long way I think. Of course everyone should always do their own research on top of the basic information, but the way things are at the moment, owners can't trust anything they get told by pet stores or even by online groups, there's just so much misinformation that it's created an Everest for people to climb just to figure out the very basic needs of their pets, that's the really sad part in my opinion 😞

If they haven’t been snapped up I might adopt a couple when I get my new house. But damn, pet shops are useless at sexing. Same happened with my guinea pigs when I was a teen. I was delighted of course but my parents were none too pleased.

Yeah, pet stores really aren't the best at gendering.. considering how many animals they see, you'd think they'd be a bit better at it by now! It has been a couple of months since the rescue now, but if you call up the Mid Norfolk RSCPA branch they may still have a few available ☺️ if not, it's worth having a look around for local rescues or trying the blue cross which may also have some gerbs for you 🙂

@@PetConnectionInternational Oh I’m absolutely gonna adopt. I’m probably going to get one from a rehoming site, some of the cages that are getting offered with them makes me wanna give them a better situation 😓

Can U neuter male gerbils as you can neuter male mice and guinea pigs?

Yes you can, although it's best avoided if possible. It's still surgery so there's always a risk of it going wrong, and not many vets will be experienced in performing it on gerbils
