MASSIVE! GREASE SLURRY - Drain Pros Ep. 83

In this video Kyle and John hydro scrub from several different man holes to break up a massive grease blockage at a mini plaza. They have to call in a septic pumping truck to pump out the grease before jetting to avoid backing up the city sewer line. After pumping, we use our tow behind Jetter with 4000 PSI of water and various nozzles to break up thick grease chunks and get the sewer line flowing again. It takes us several hours with the high pressure water to break through the grease and restore flow. Another sewer line opened for the drain pros. Keep an eye out soon for the back end of this job where we return to cable out a bar in this plaza that was still clogged and needed to be cabled after flow was restored.

Thanks for recognizing that the camera has to be right down in there for it to adjust to the light so we can see, and for being brave enough to wear it on your head in doing so!

@@marc6698 Nice! If you want to see how difficult it is to get grease out of pipes, check out "Blocked Drain Korea". When the grease gets hard, high pressure isn't enough.

A small house 2 levels and 1/4 acre lot 2 toilets and a 70 foot sewer line. We got roots near the main. What would you suggest. Water jet or snake?

We’re in upstate NY. We still see brick man holes around on our older street but definitely few and far between anymore. Mostly preformed concrete now a days 👍

it was explained a video or two back....the regular guys job changed (got promoted or something) but the new crew is trying to satisfy our drain addictions just fine

😂 thanks Fnaf! I’ve been doing a ton more dig estimate and jobs over the last 2 year so haven’t been able to jet. Kyle and John have taken over the jetting and are killing it👍

Wish there was Rebecca! Unfortunately the sewer treatment plants deal with even more issues plugging up there machines 👎… grease wrecks havoc on our sewer systems!
