Hoyo genuinely hates this character lmaooo Not only is bro dressed like an npc, he has LESS def shred than Pela, LESS dot dmg than Guinaifen, and had his ENTIRE kit nerfed. Oh and don't forget about how he lost his healing as well Jiaoqiu's only redeeming point is that he is a good support for Acheron, but that in itself is a problem as he is a good support ONLY for Acheron

guess jiaoqiu will become the dehya in hsr, great splash art, but big nerf on his mechanic making him second slot in a lot of situation. i think he will be pulled for people who love the design and his animations. This guy are rigth, for my part i was expecting healing from him, since he's a doctor. That's bad, because even with his nerf giving him heal field like a luocha would give him a great identity

Guys pls don't get on the hate train that he's trash now because many videos say he's nerfed to death, even tho he lose the passive damage and enemy effect hit rate thing, the new 15 energy one makes so he can have his ult active turn 1 whitout the requirements that ruan mei or tingyun have, and this is amazing for his acheron teams as well as the new playstyle he has now with him being a DoT unit too, THE NERF ON THE DAMAGE % ONLY AFFECTS HIS CRIT SUB DPS/HYPER CARRY BUILD (pls stop thinking the nerf makes him irrelevant now), as a dot unit or debuffer and battery for acheron he doesn't need those multyplier beeing high and it makes him really easy to build and get amazing results, some test shows that he can get the same amount of cycle clears as ruan mei on kafka teams, and he's still the best acheron battery as well as debuffer for her with the vulnerability and increased ULT DMG recieved by the enemy on his field also i have to mention that he makes the use of acheron on pure fiction reliable, the stack limit they put on his v5 to his ult its invalidated if you equip him with solitary healing wich is free from the herta store :) i hope that this can make some of the people like me, who is waiting for him for his looks or for kafka/acheron teams feel more relieved that he is worth pulling and that the JIAOQIU BIG NERFS, and IS IT REALLY WORTH PULLING? trend that i see on many videos isn't really that true, and more than a nerf he's just changed and more versatile with a new playstyle, easy to build and a great unit overall PD:sorry if i wrote something wrong, english isn't my first lenguage

Honestly his V1 is alright like they don't even need to add the dot they should've added the healing instead because if they can add dot on his kit then why didn't they just add the healing? A lot of people would probably pull for his eidolons if one of them made the healing better

There seems to be some falsities stated here, as I've seen folks reporting multiplier reductions, but forget he has a trace that increases his Atk by 240% with enough EHR (which seen from other showcases that his Atk can reach almost 6k by himself, no buffs from other members, which is far beyond what most main DPS are capable of with gear alone). So having his multipliers reduced to compensate for his high Atk buff to himself, would stem more as a balancing him to not be a main dps, but more inline as a sub dps. The Ult trigger bit for Ashen Roast was removed during the last beta test, so that's also false information. Still a good summary video, but the facts aren't completely accurate and missing the whole picture by only focusing on "nerfed and removed" aspects rather than a "So what does this mean for his kit as a whole? passives and all".

With his vulnerability debuff and his ability to give stacks to Acheron quickly, I still dont mind getting him.

It seems that they don't really know what to do with him to make him viable but at the same time not make Acheron overpowered.. really big L and I'm not pulling for him anymore.. I swear if they go Honkai route and have girl characters the spotlight I'm done.

Well I guess it makes sense since his dmg before was decebtly good. He was kind of replacing the current characters we have without having his own identity. So I see it like this. Sushang and Seele are very very similar right? Both are all about acting extremely fast but are also extremely different in playstyle and team diversity. Sushang can be a break dps while Seele cannot(or atleast shouldnt be bc her toughness dmg is bad). Seele has some of the most consistent full clears of Pure Fiction and if they have Quantum weakness its over for them. Seeles teams can be entirely all made of supports and she will clear before anyone dies. And if you wanna get crazy you can add Hanya into this group as she is about the exact same things except her dmg is locked behind super break if youre crazy like me. So what it seems like could be the case is that they disliked that he was directly taking over mostly Guin and Pela roles. Pelas biggest seeling point being fast easy ult/team def shred/debuff application Guins being fire dot/break dps/sub dps/fast debuff application. No longer are they unique enough to be a best in slot. Especially Guin.

this series of nerfs on him stopped being sad and now i just think it's hilarious this last nerf limiting his ult in special, the only good thing i could see myself using him was in PF, and now not even there i see him being worth pulling

You're completely wrong on the A1 being nerfed. The Damage was moved to his passive as a DoT, which increased his team diversity. It's also no longer tied to the ult, another massive buff since you now have the option of saving your ult without losing out on the passive damage effect. The A1 also gave 'Effect Hit Rate' reduction to enemies, not 'Effect Resistance' reduction. It reduced the chance of enemies applying debuffs to your team, it did not increase the odds of your team landing their own debuffs. Reducing the 'Effect Hit Rate' of enemies was practically worthless as most limited sustains come in with build in CC resistance or cleanses for your team. The energy from the new A1 is also a massive upgrade, you can now get his ult on his first turn just by using skill with an ERR% rope, which means you now have access to his full supporting capabilities right off the bat. Basically he kept the good part and made it even better, gained DoT synergy, lost the useless part of his A1 (EHR Reduction), and also gained free energy regen. Massive buff overall. It's actually concerning how good of a support he looks to be for both DoT and Acheron Teams now.

That ehr reduce on his trace could have been a game changer to other characters man 😭, march freeze bot, yanqing freeze, kafka, himeko, welt, pela and SW couldve been psudo dps,

His 15 energy was a buff… He REDUCED ENEMY EHR% NOT INCREASE YOUR TEAM’S EHR% which was there to help your sustain counteract debuffs, especially for Aventurine. He also had some damage, but it wasn’t a DoT and needed crit and we all know how well Silver Wolf and Welt, who are other EHR% hungry crit characters, function as DPS, lol. twas nice, but definitely NOT the best bonus skill he had. Now he can do a single skill into ult in endgame modes, unlike in previous versions. I would have much preferred him get a “Gain 2 energy when an enemy afflicted with Ashen Roast starts their turn or is defeated” trace though for a little more consistency in long battles. His skill multipliers got HEAVILY NERFED which just killed his crit build, but he got a DoT instead which I’d consider a buff since he now ONLY needs EHR and Speed, with ATK also being preferable. His trigger count being capped at 6 is such a non-issue when his BiS PF LC, Solitary Healing, gives him more energy than fucking Meshing Cogs, and we all know how disgustingly broken MC is. In MoC, what enemy gets 6 whole ass turns before Jiaoqiu (Who is supposed to be stuffed with as much SPD possible btw) gets 3 turns? Please tell me, and even so, this is much like the Aventurine nerf that made his FuA stack generation capped at 3 ally FuAs, which impacts very little in practice. I keep seeing these “V5 ruined him! he was broken in V1!” comments even though he’s literally the same??? his debuffs are identical, his sustain power is now less, which sucks, but the doomposters I’ve seen never talk about that for some reason and only talk about his debuffing potential, which as I have stated, IS THE SAME?? Now about his eidolons, E1 is nearly a whole ass Robin skill, E2 makes him a DPS, E3-E5 are kind of dog ass ngl, E6 is the uncontested best eidolon in the game ffs.

The worst for me is that he lost his identity. From a sub dps with healing and a true niche to basically Acheron battery and nothing else. This guy is literally just Guinafen but a man and it’s a shame…

I assume he's getting mega nerfed so people are more enticed to save up and/or use their money on Feixiao. Given she's rumored to be just as strong as Acheron, they'd wanna make sure most people pull for her. Unfortunately really messing up with Jiaoqui in the process, which sucks since regardless of his strength, she would've made a lot of money for Mihoyo anyways.

Not sure if I am crazy, but reducing enemies Effect hit rate should just mean, that they r less likely to hit debuffs on you and NOT, that the effect hit rate resistance is reduced. Could be poor translation tho, so the energy- change is not rly that big of a nerf?...I think this enemy effect hit rate reduction would have been only interesting, if he would have kept is healing abilities and then he could have been potentially a solo sustainer against enemies, that apply mainly debuffs.. but that is not the case anymore... Edit: Oh and obviously a debuff is missing, so he got worse for acheron teams, which is a huge nerf, but for different reasons
