Maybe the 'Ex-military Faction' can be a platoon of soldiers that got stuck in the 'Zombieland' and never received backup, leaving the soldiers stranded, having to survive while fighting off mutants, zombies, and bandits

Hey Camodo, how about a nightmare forest covered in a thick fog (like from mist), along with a town that is in the nightmare forest. 1.Use zombies as previous victims 2.Use the spiders or anything scary 3.And use army troops to find survivors in the forest If There Is Any!

i have an idea for next time, which can add to why the giant kraken is there, what if you have a war of the worlds style martian invasion? (with tripods) you can add on to part of the city or make another island. i also recommend you use the kraken model for the martians themselves. you can have it so that one of the martian tripods got tripped up by some military units guarding the mad max area, and the martian got mutated when it hit the radioactive water and got larger, similar to the large zombies. what i also thought would be funny is having oblivious grandma taking a selfie with the martians.

(this kinda links with the raiders intercepting the supply runs) there's a scrap city with ruins which have been repaired with scrap metal, it has a deal with an unnamed squad of rouges (who's leader is oblivious grandma's daughter Jennie Jones) to protect their supply runs. the army is trying to take the supply run because they're greedy and they want more even if the supply run makes it and the rouges are ramming/shooting the army interceptors
