Small note: my bag had vachetta that was so pale; so, I put it on a table next to a window during the summer. It darken'd up. Put the bottom half of the bag in another cover/bag and let the sun hit the top of your bucket bag - rotate. It should catch up to the darker color. Just put on a timer & rotate to watch during the day. Best of Luck - All looks good! Love your denim!!! -Lorraine 🍒🍒🍒

You could rub olive oil on the handles/chaps of that cherries bag & it will darken to a nice pretzel brown like the bottom.🥨

Love seeing everyone come home! I had the pale pink and black Marc Jacobs versions of the baggie. I love that shape so much. ( I carry fountain pens but knock wood...) Lol my old speedy has the pull tab in bright white while the rest of the leather is 30 years aged. I kinda like the repair reminder and will enjoy seeing it age to match.

Love the denim bags! Cover the bottom of the bucket bag with tape and sun the upper part making sure to turn it to even the patina. I had to do this when one of my bags caught the sun on one side from being on a shelf & darkened more than the rest.

Regarding LV repairs, I know a couple of fairly recent prices. They’re expensive, but, then again, they’re disassembling and reassembling the bag. A Noe’ gm vachetta replacement was $1060, and a Rendonne GM was $1310.

Thank you for sharing your negative experience as well. I agree that it doesn't seem to make any sense that they couldn't replace the bottom piece. I can't wrap my brain around that. LV did a beautiful job restoring your denim bags!! They look new! In the case of the bucket bag, they should have notified you of the problem, so you could decide for yourself. I’ll bet, as it continues to get treated, it will look just fine.😊🤞 Lovely collection!!😊

I feel that was one of THE best LV collections EVR! …Meredith, I also feel your frustration regarding your LV Cherrrys bag, ☹🍒I am not certain if it was the video but it actually looked to me like, there are 3 different shades of vachetta on the bag now,…..the vachetta straps are slightly darker -one color, the tabs are the lightest vachetta-and the bottom obviously original vachetta a beautiful warm patina in my opinion ….[being a designer, personally that would drive me nuts] …..especially since I had a client few years back that got her whole large bucket bag vachetta replaced! Now she lived in the US, do they send those pieces to France? ……I just want you to be happy with it and could see your frustration ❤……I personally would send it back and make them re-do it all. It if your happy with it, ignore my rant🤣Enjoy your denim again they are all soooooo beautiful 🩷🩵💚

The cherries bucket is different to the standard design so they can’t be repaired the same.

I’m based in the US and had my monogram bucket bag vachetta replaced. They did it all including the base. I wonder if you could have that sent to another country to get the base replaced?

That is a stupid thing! Why would they do that to the Bucket bag? I wonder if they couldn't replace the bottom VVN* because the shaper for the bottom canvas piece no longer exist and attempting to replace the leather would have resulted on a wonky bag? *is this how its written in the paperwork or is it actually Vivienne?

VVN is correct. It’s about producing a new piece that is no longer licensed to be made. I think I’ll do a while video on that distinction.
