I graduated High School in 1970 from Port Washington NY. This was an affluent north shore of Long Island area. During the late 60s, early 70s if you went to the local hamburger joint it was like a show for muscle cars. On weekends the town dock would be the place to go to meet up, drink beer and go out and race for money down the road that went by Bar Beach. Street racing was going on all the time. Almost forgot. Back in 1965 by brother in laws cousin showed up with a 427 fuel injected 4 spd, posi rear vette with side pipes. I got a ride in that in the back of the seats. We went from zero to 60 like I had never seen before. At 13 years old I was hooked. I rode around in so many different muscle cars I can't remember them all. I can't tell you how great it was. There was no end of big block everything. We had speed shops in town and all around the island. It was a different world.
@MrLmm0012 жыл бұрын
Sorry.... but 427s were NEVER factory fuel injected!!!! Only 283s and 327 small blocks came with the rochester fuel injection option! I know that other readers of this on here would back that up.

Thumbs up my friend. What I like about this guy's property he's smart he puts the cars on gravel and not in the grass. Too many people got cars out in the tall grass eating away their prized Treasures. Yeah this guy knows what he's doing.
@BENNIEDARRELL5 жыл бұрын
this collection is just mind blowing. can't imagine what's in the other buildings and what the story is on the cars outside and the owners of this property. like you he's had a life time obsession and he's still at it ? he sure stores things in a proper and organized fashion. do you ever film the owners ? havn't seen any yet but i just found you channel yesterday. love it. you're young and you are so involved in chevy muscle cars of my day. i still have a few friends with chevelle's, corvette's, nova's and camaro's from back in the day. all big blocks. i remember the first time i saw and heard a 302, 69 z28 camaro. i had a 55 with a 375 solid lift 327 with a muncie and a 456 rear and that camaro tore me up. both our cars raddled your teeth idling and revved up. his was so much lighter and cost more. my 55 was stolen and stripped a month later. cops found it in the woods off a rural back road just outside town. i put it back together with a 283 and saginaw trans and junk yard rear jackpot and sold it. they must not have known i had fiberglass front fenders. the body not damaged except the rocker panel was bent on the passenger side where the tow truck driver drug it off concrete blocks. idiot. it's tough living through you and your video but i sure do appreciate it. i enjoy them. do what you love while you can. wish i still could. i love old original harley's 65 and below and pick up trucks from the 30's and 40's. especially 40 dodge, 41willy's and 34 and 40 ford pick ups that were built in the late 60's early 70's. i don't care for the computerized restorods built using the body of cars from back in the day. they're nice but wire and fire ain't that easy. you need a laptop to set them up after wiring everything. break down and you're screwed unless you know everything about the systems and carry extra components. that's if you can get to the component. i say no computers anywhere. gas, spark and oil, a hammer, screw driver, pliers and a crescent wrench. be gone, i love all gassers but i hate seeing a nomad like that.

I'm from Iowa and Iowans are generally honest people. But I can't help thinking this guy goes into a junkyard for a transmission and comes out with 3. A lot of small town junkyards are do it yourself. That is you pay the guy on the hill then take your truck down and load what you bought. Not saying, but that is an incredible amount of stuff.
@twoblacklabs9046 жыл бұрын
When someone hoards that amount of classic parts and vintage cars, you can bet that there’s absolutely NOTHING going on with those cars, and sadly, they’ll probably just rot away with no one able to enjoy them or drive them...certainly not restore them or much of anything...it’s a damn shame, because I’m sure the guy works a lot to be able to afford that inventory of great stuff, but probably doesn’t have the time to work on much of anything...so it all just sits there...it’s really a shame.
@motorman8576 жыл бұрын
I'm with ya. What good is letting all those rare cars and parts rust away? I don't get the mind set.

Two Black Labs The man was a collector and knew what he was doing. Just because he isn't letting everyone else have his cars doesn't mean he is selfish. He owns them all. If someone wants one of these cars, they can get off their ass and work for one that's already out in the market.

I love these old cars because they were obnoxious and bright, that notwithstanding, there are German SUVs that can beat any muscle car hands down and doing it with 7 people on board. Muscle cars were slow, (compared to a, say LANDROVER), leaked oil and rattled. They took a corporate product and put pretty decals on it. I had a 65 Mustang 289 4spd 4bbl, SS454 ElCamino 4spd, 340 Dart 4spd, keeping in mind they auctioned off police cars at 50,000 back then because cars were breaking down a lot then. There was always someone roadside with problems in the 60s 70s.
