Hi Mozza. I love watching hedge trimming. I currently follow 2 accounts that specializing in hedge trimming: kustorez and garden story. The kustorez guy always make hedging looks easy and fun (maybe because it's also his passion) but one time he made a video of him tidying his own lawn and guess what, he only have a small yard with two tiny topiary. 😂 Smart decision. Now that I heard why you don't like hedging job, it makes me appreciate lawn care professionals more. There's no trivial profession.

Thanks for the comment. I don’t mind so much the small hedges, but the big ones are a killer on your body. I prefer mostly mowing lawns and doing edges. That’s where my repeat work is anyways 😊 Yes I bet he doesn’t have a lot of big hedges. Very smart 😆

Love the work you do. A trick I learnt from a garden maintenance person (ex-apple orchardist) many years ago, was to put a large tarpaulin under the trees to catch all the "fall" from trimming etc. Makes it easy to gather up later and dispose of all the offcuts and leaves a beautifully tidy lawn/garden underneath with no/minimal extra work required.

My personal choices: Ican't stand hedges, bushes and/or trees that need constant maintenance to look good; so that they do not take over the yard, usually stealing the natural light from a dwelling. I do enjoy seeing them pruned back, but I find that I always feel they weren't cut back sufficiently. As i say, just my personal choice. I love transformations, so support a garden makeover whenever i can. ❤

I can understand your grief about tree and hedge maintenance. The physical activity is daunting. The immediate solution is to remove the tree if it is the bane of your existence, and cut the hedge by 50%. The privacy issue could be solved by installing curtains or one-way glass windows. You have a nice looking house camouflaged by enough greenery in the front yard to fill up a park. The end result was phenomenal, btw. As Ms Kimberly suggested earlier, you can hire someone to maintain the yard.
@mozzasmowing3 ай бұрын
Wife loves the tree and greenery. Happy wife happy life 🤷♂️ I’ll prolly take the tree done a couple of meters next time 😅
@shqa5743 ай бұрын
@@mozzasmowingGreat idea shortening the tree. Also the hedge! Right now, they are dwarfing the house. There is a similar issue in my apartment building. The front yard might be the same length as yours. A magnolia tree is dwarfing the strip of yard, and overhanging the sidewalk. It is also higher than the two-storey building. There was another magnolia tree that crashed to the ground a year ago. The owner had to pay for the chopping up and removal. Magnolia trees belong in parks, not apartment yards.

Thanks Brian! Yes have put a lot of work into the house front. I know it’s work but it’s worth it. A lot of people move into houses with beautiful gardens and they ask me to remove everything. I love hedging, even a bit of topiary... but you do need the right equipment and a tactical approach... one tip to consider trying, lay down a tarp to catch all the clippings, and then just deal with them so much easier... don't leave them too long, or you'll need the pole saw attachment, because the hedger won't get through the thicker branches... that one is about the height limit before you would need a cherry picker / EWP which is a whole other expense and set of regulations and licences... Looks like the Mews / commons square out the front of you place is well maintained... council, or your personal efforts...?
@mozzasmowing3 ай бұрын
Some people love it. I’m just not a fan especially since it’s not really my bread butter. Lawns are much less taxing but I do take them on during winter. Yer I have used the tarp before but it just takes more time in my experience as it all goes in the bin anyways. I do have the chain pole attachment. I’m think of taking a couple of meters off it next time because it is getting thick. Maybe I wont leave it as long next time but good chance I will 😅 Yer the council do a pretty good job out the front. Always looks tidy 👌

Beautiful home and plants, trees etc. You did a great job looks so tidy ❤. I am sure you are tired after doing everyone's else's yards and you put yours off. It's understandable. I personally love hedge trimming/ Bushes. I love the most watching people trim anything in the garden/yard. In my opinion the trimming is the thing that makes the whole yard/house/garden really pop. Looks manicured. I agree after I trim things it does hurt my neck and back as well as arms. It depends on how tall something is in height and bending over and how much things I have to trim to determine my aches lol. I still will do it as long as I can. 🎉 Without the triming of things the yard doesn't look special or complete nor does it pop in my opinion. It's also the attention to detail for me. Loved the video! Take care and be safe Also get a hand held massager for your neck , shoulders etc it really helps me after trimming things. The electric ones are the best and not a cheap one put some money into one.
@mozzasmowing3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment and yes I’ll look into the neck massager! Yes I know I was winging but I’m happy now it’s done. It only really hurts when the extension pole is on plus the hedger pole as the weight is so far from the body. Keep on working on your garden. My Mum in England is 71 and is in her garden every day. She loves it 🌺 🌷 🌹
@choosewisely69943 ай бұрын
@@mozzasmowing I didn't think you were winning lol. I understand all to well the weight of the equipment and crazy angles we have to do to trim things and the tall trees are brutal. You are right the extensions on the equipment and holding your body and arms out and up and down is wild and the body lets you know doesn't it 😀😳. I get in the yard and think oh yeah I will do all this trimming today on everything and the lot beside me that is always out of control, the owner does little to it, then half way in my muscles say really 🤣🤣. You don't have to explain or convince me about anything that hurts doing yardwork lol. Yes , I am outside most of the time looking for something to do😊 I truly enjoy the outdoors until the heat happens 😄. Glad your Mom gets out and enjoys the garden. I find yard work and flowers etc peaceful and beautiful as well as rewarding for me. Don't forget to go visit your Mom often and call her, even a video chat. I understand life is busy but Mom's need attention from their sons and daughters 💜🤗. We always miss our babies 💯❤️. Take care 🙂 Have a good week coming up. Trust me on the massager and also sit in a hot bath with Epsom salt it really helps for all ages in muscle pain etc.

Sou de Bauru mas moro aqui em Araras sp a 25 anos . Agora assistindo o canal fico relachado porque todos os dias são domingo. Aposentei. E gosto de fazer limpeza e organização, seus vídeos são um maravilha pra mim.
