MASSIVE TRANSFORMATION OF LAMAHA RESERVES

With a keen focus on developing tourism hotspots across the capital Georgetown, the government has embarked on its long talked about transformation of the Lamaha corridor which served decades ago as the railway line in colonial Guyana. The News Room visited the area on Monday where contractors and engineers were working to meet a two-week deadline.

Kudos to President Ali and the PPP/CIVIC GOVERNMENT for the vision to take Guyana forward, and putting Guyana on the international stage.

How about doing the same thing for Durban Park or is it about politics. Guyanese people need Durham Park to be updated as a open space for leisure, relaxation and other activities for people living in that community and for tourists.

looks like a crammed parking lot to me. What "park" this size has cars going in and out ?? May as well converted the whole embankment into a minimal fee parking lot. It would have eased the parking problem and bring in some revenue for the city. There are lots of existing parks that needed upgraded, such as botanical Gardens, Promenade gardens, national park and Durban Park.

Excellent undertaking by the government of that country to rehabilitate the old train line to an attractive pathway to the city..

Big market needs to fixed too it looks really bad and dirty and cleared out all those sellers of the roads Guyana 🇬🇾 need a big facelift we tired with the same old looks give it a fresh site so we can enjoy it

Even though you are right. It is time the government stop wasting billions for temporary fixes. Open up new lands and expand the city to include up to Eccles and or Providence. Move some businesses down into the back of Eccles.
