That philodendron Longilobatum and the golden dragon - insane 😍 I told myself not to buy any more plants this year but the Longilobatum got straight to my wishlist. If you put one on the webshop I definitely will take a look and overthink my ban 😂😅

I find it so funny that what we think of as common is so determined by where we live. I am in Australia and I only found out last year that there is such a thing as a white bird of paradise. I have seen so many orange ones and saw a massive white one in a garden while walking to our corner store.

I just got the Golden Dragon Mottled Variegated about a month ago. It's a really beautiful plant that so far has been very sturdy, even the leaves that came damaged in shipment somehow still look beautiful, I think it's because the shape of the leaves are so unique.

In theatre lighting a color that is mostly one color with a little bit of a complementary color blended in is called a "bastard" color. Common example is the mostly amber mixed with a little bit of pink commonly used to make skin tones look good - "bastard amber."

Instead of finding pretty pots with self watering just use an automatic drip system. its really easy to set up and if plants are grouped together you don't even see the tubbing. I have a bunch of plants on a high shelf and they get 30 secs of water every other day. I have a decorative pitcher full of water for the pump to pull from and that's all I have to check every few days. Also l can add liquid fertilizer to the pitcher when needed.

Honestly I won the botanicaz billie and those are so hard to stop variegation loss. I had to cut her and it hurt me soul and those cuttings are hard to root as well. Growing them is a dream but keeping variegation is a different story

I have a large spatiphyllum mint from last year but the seller gave it to me as "Giant Sensation Silver' idk if it's the correct ID; i just love the color. new leaf is pale yellow turns into mint green then silvery as it aged ^__^ biggest leaf is a foot now, have bit of ruffled edges like Antfol as well. Btw, that Var. Golden Dragon is a stunner.

Billietiae variegated and golden dragon variegated, are my two top wish-list plants. it is 4 figure per leaf here. And the worse is, if it reverts or dies if not prepared properly. Not gonna lie, i'd be paranoid taking care of these two plants 😅😂 but once I am better and more confident at caring plants like this, i'm gonna go for them!

I accidentally pulled out a strelitzia pup without roots, the centre of the rosette then rotted slightly and separated into two, I put them both into pots with soil in a super handy box and ended up getting two :)

Congrats on obtaining your Golden Dragon Variegated! I've been told they are unlikely to revert even after a green leaf. I haven't been able to find any definitive information at all; however when browsing photos of full plants online, I have seen a single plant with both solid green and beautifully variegated leaves. Do you know where I could find more info?

Question about Strawberry Shake - they're a new philo to me. I got a clip with great variegation, but the baby leaves growing from it are solid green. Conditions did not change much from grower to my greenhouse. Will the variegation return?

😅 I'd love to see a white bird of paradise, in Australia red, yellow and orange colours are very common and found in many people's gardens. you don't see many varigated ones either as they tend not to survive outside 😅

also, about the strelitzia, are you sure it's orange and not yellow? The yellow one is the rarest, in america and the uk if I recall correctly. Orange is used for landscaping a lot though.

NGL. I am going to miss the Invisalign lisp. It's the only way I've known you. ❤ I am very excited for you though. I unfortunately lost all my top and half my bottom teeth to a life time psychiatric meds. I am envy of your smile. ❤ My first thought re the plants and showing just the one you're talking about was to hang a large sheet behind you. It might look a bit bodgy though. You'll get it sussed. You're a smart cookie. Maybe a corner of the shop with a bare wall could work? Idk. I'll stfu. I got my first alocasias yesterday. It was your content than actually had me finally consider getting one, and I bought two! A pretty 2 leafed reginula 'Black Velvet' in a 130mm pot, and a baby zebrina in a 70mm square pot. I nearly bought a baby philodendron silver sword too, but I was already over budget. Next fortnight! I don't know where they all sit with rarity/scarcity in other parts of the world, but they're common box store plants here in Australia. I finally got some marble queen pothos too. Variegated plants are my absolute number one love. They tie for first place with aroids. The Thailandicum has been on my wish list since I first saw your oily-boi. I've got many on my list from your content, I've not found out if one can actually have some of them in AU though, we've got some strict bio-security regulations, understandably. Still early days, I only started collecting again a month or so ago after my passion had been dormant for a few years. I think I've rambled enough. Sorry. Have a good one. ☺

How many stunning plants can you squeeze into a video? Before, I was not a staunch supporter of variegation, since I've already got plenty of ho-hum hostas outdoors, and since the price tag swells uncontrollably for infusing white into house plants, and since their variegations were becoming same-old same-old random splotches. But your selections are works of art, patterns are very interesting, sometimes painterly, often pleasing as graphics.
