omg - thank you so much!!! I initially tried Xenia in Batocera Linux and realized Lutris wasn't cutting it. I configured Xenia Canary using your suggestions and one of my favorite games, Ilomilo works in Windows without a hitch! This Ally is truly amazing - my xbox360 has been gathering dust (I don't think I've turned it on in over a year or two) and now I can bring my games on the go and finally finish all the games I actually bought! (yes, other games are tempting and will surely play them but I figure I should prioritize games like Ilomilo Lol). A rainy day project will be to figure out how to connect my KINECT to my Ally cuz that's why I bought my xbox360 in the first place - for Dance Central! 🕺

To anyone having Forza 2 crash before the race loads on the current xenia canary, you have to open the config file for xenia and set mount_cache to true and mount_scratch to true

I'm doing this for a regular PC but man thank you so much for the patches and especially the Tokyo Xtreme Racer patch, I had no idea that was a thing. Great tastes in games, man. NG2! All these shmup! I hope all the Ally and Deck owners give those games a try

loving my ally, got it a few weeks ago and it's a beast, haven't tried ps3 or 360 emulation yet but just gaming overall it's great, had no issues yet but looking forward to trying out more systems.

I'm surprised how far the performance differences between xenia canary and rpcs3 when I tried rdr 1. I cant get anything above 20fps on armadillo when using rpcs3 in 15 watts power, but lo and behold, xenia can get to 25+ fps out of the box with the same wattage power, and i think the game looks so much better too.

Sadly, fable 2 only seems to run for the very beginning of the game at the moment. Once you get past the intro and become an adult you'll likely encounter many texture bugs and crashes. Canary runs it better, with patches, but still can't progress very far without GPU crashes on the Ally

Showing Kingdon Under Fire: Circle of Doom. Legend. Such a forgotten game. Also incredibly sad that Amped 3 has so many issues. It's my favourite snowboarding game.

Great tutorial Tech Dad. I would like to add another suggestion to Xenia config file. Under GPU change gpu_allow_invalid_fetch_constants to True. With out this enabled some 360 import games like the Cave shmups games will have sound but no graphics on the screen. This change will make those games playable.

As lots of others have commented, I keep getting "Graphics Driver Lost" crashes, and other random crashes at launch of just about every single 360 games ive tried (Forza 3 and 4, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo Reach, etc). And yes, all drivers on my Rog Ally are up to date. Ive even tried setting the gpu backend to D3D12 and Vulkan, no change.

Xenia won't let me play skate 3, it launches the game correctly but i can't get past the intro and get to actual gameplay, instead it just open an error window that says : Faulting thread name I am using a Lenovo Legion Go Handheld device with Windows 11 and Emudeck/emulationstation.

one thing people fail to mention is xbox 360 outsold ps3 all the way up till when ps4 and xbox one released, for whatever reason there was surge in ps3 sales when the generation was dying.

OK, making custom config files is a nightmare, just add the codes this guy is mentioning into Steam Launch Options, much less time consuming and works well. I tested with all games for launching in fullscreen, launch option is "--fullscreen=true" I tested Blue Dragon, the D3D12 option is no longer the same, it's under GPU, but you can put in launch options "--clear_memory_page_state=true" I reccomend just adding the lines you need into Steam Launch Options, save yourself the hassle of altering the configs on a per game basis, this just saves it. For example, copy and paste this into launch options for Blue Dragon to get it to run in fullscreen and not crash after the logo, "--clear_memory_page_state=true --fullscreen=true" Hope this helps folks.

No game works on my Asus rog ally z1 Xtreme. No Ridge Racer 6, no Forza Horizon. Everything crashes. Do I have to set anything else?

I followed the steps in the video, but I think either I'm doing something wrong or maybe it's the version of Xenia Canary that's causing the problems. The game I'm trying to play is Ninja Gaiden 2, but for some reason once the game gets past the initial loading screen it has A LOT of slow down to the point that it won't even load in after picking what difficulty level I would like to play on. Also for some reason after trying to play Ninja Gaiden 2 several times with the same results my Ally was giving me problems and after several restarts it reverted my home screen back to a configuration that I had set weeks ago.

It's sad that xenia still requires a number of settings to function properly. Considering how long it's been on the market.

So I'm pretty new to newer emulators, last one I had was for the OG nes. I've been doing my reading and researching and just got an rog Ally. I'm trying to get Xbox 360 NCAA football 14. I went the emu deck route and have that downloaded however I've been reading about bios. Is that something I need for a 360 game or no? Any help would be appreciated.
