This is the 5th tile project we've done where we've removed the old tile before installing new tile, and the first one with this tool kzfaq.infoUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS . I want to cry for all the unnecessary work we've done in the past. With this tool, we removed tile surrounding a fireplace, as well as the hearth tile, set in loads of cement, in less than an hour. I highly recommend this tool. It was easy to use, and very satisfying watching the tile literally fall off the wall.

I have 5 Hilti machines - a breaker, a grinder, a diamond core drill, a combihammer and an impact driver. They are expensive machines for sure, but my oldest Hilti (the diamond core drill) is now 14 years old and still works as well as the day I bought it. I think I would have had to replace a lesser machine twice already. Look at Hilti as a bombproof, long-term investment in your business. You won't regret it.

Master Alley, I would love for you to test Hilti breaker and the hitachi breaker featured in this video and a pneumatic breaker of the same size roughly (mostly referred as a pneumatic pick). And test them both in the field at say, a rock or granite quarry and see which one does the best. Then do some tests with different types of rock drills both electric, hydraulic and pneumatic test in rock. Why I'm requesting this is because I'm looking into doing some small scale underground mining both placer (really hard packed gravel) and hard rock.

how about trying 3 hammers the same weight and cost roughly? instead of comparing a small makita to two massive crazy expensive demo breakers.

Dear Sam, thank you! We've got a lot of feedback about this test. Actually this test is to bring out the most popular breaker use in Hong Kong which is Makita 5kg and Hitachi 15kg. We try to see if a 10kg breaker could make a different. So, we are not really comparing how good they are, but try to figure out how to choose between different work/task. They are all good tools. In fact, 5kg breaker are commonly asked question so I am trying to make a video between different 5kg breakers. Great review ,is the Mikita HM1211b ? Because I've used Air breakers ,everything else corded Hilti, bosch, hitachi real and fake, metabo , in my opinion they are all great machines to use ,but the operator needs to know how and wear and when to hit ,my Mikita Hm1211b vs the new Hilti would be a nice challenge to see vertically and horizontally ,straight run no stopping 12 inch thick by 3 feet wide no rebar .

Much THX for the answer. I am disappointed with the Hilti power - that Hitachi is a 20 year old design and has only 1240W, the Hilti is brand new design with 1850W of power! Sure the Hitachi is 4 kg heavier but the age and input power difference is huge...

Honest speaking, Hitachi has a lot of vibration but that power is killer! For floor work, I will use the heavier one, no doubt. There are indeed a vibration reduce model, let see if I can borrow one and give it a try!

Why so inconsistent? You start with 3 and when the vibration test comes along there are only 2. You might want to communicate why the third jackhammer was not used. It was too heavy for you guys? The vibration test would still be informative and valid for those of us with muscle. Arbitrarily and silently changing the test is odd. Some would prefer strong and quick. Taking 5 minutes to make one crack in the concrete paver is in the end equal to strong and uick. The fatigue level would be similar. When the Hitachi is done with a 10' x 10' patio the Hilti would only be half done. Work twice as long or twice as hard? When time is money? Fine, you're comparing massively different demolition hammers. This doesn't feel like a fair fight with only 2 out of 3 participants participating in all the tests. This feels like a Hilti commercial.

Dear Bobby, thank you for your comment. Wow, I didn't realize it has been one year already! To be honest, this was not an easy test. Many things happened during the shooting. In Hong Kong, Makita 5kg and Hitachi is most commonly use. This time what I was trying to do, is to see how a 10kg, middle weight breaker perform. I am sure you are one big giant Godzilla but here, we don't really drive. Most of our tools are carry by hand and on foot. I am sure you understand what I want to say. For the vibration test, the concrete couldn't stand the weight and power of the 15kg, we tried to make it work, trust me. Again, this is not a fight. I am trying to see if there is an option for my fellow construction mates, something that can carry and travel on foot, yet strong enough to do some good damages. Thank you again for watching, keep sharing thoughts, and we will try to make it better!

Dear Master Alley, Thank you so very much for your kind words and response. I do unfortunately have a response. Please understand this is not a fight or argument. This is a response with your goal in mind. Let's assume the workers you are referring to are not contractors. At the same time my concern are the contractors. Would I carry that Hitachi to work or the Hilti. The Hilti has been proven to be very slow but easily transportable. The Hitachi has been proven to be quick. Do I want to hire the worker who will take 5 times as long or who will be quick and efficient. The boss has supervisors. He or she needs to justify his expenses. Will his or her supervisors appreciate the extra hours and money spent or a much lower bottom line due to a lower labor percentage rate? Will the worker want to break a sweat and get done much quicker or a easy transport but twice as many hours. Over here we have a saying 'milking the clock'.Go slow so we can make more many. The Hilti will accomplish that slowly. Google 'Fast nickle or slow dime' if you want. Contractors appreciate the fast nickle which the Hitachi can accomplish. I appreciate and understand your sentiment. My opinion only differs. I am neither right or wrong.

Will the contractor/boss keep the worker who was 5 times or even two times as slow or the quicker worker. Btw - I do not have a vehicle. I am on foot or on a bike.

Makita breaker must be nearly half the weight of others clearly they love Hilti that cheap hitachi copy breaker is prob the most powerful

Makita 5kg, Hilti 10kg, Hitachi 15kg. So, I am trying to find out anything in between 5kg and 15kg. For example, I was making a vent at 2.5m height. The wall was super strong. My 5kg couldn't do anything to it. I drill holes around already, of course. But lifting that 15kg is impossible, so there comes the 10kg. All I am trying to say it, every tool has their own reason to be there

Dear Orange, 這次是以市場大家常用的5kg和10kg作定位，嘗試找一個中游的工具，所以找來10kg的HILTI。散熱方式就算不同，大前提是要另操作人員安全，相對舒適地使用。我們用電炮的，兩三小時不停是等閒。牧田這支和日立這兩支經過1小時不停使用後人不能用手碰的。我們不是為測試而測試。我們還有中文版的。謝謝你的留言，多點來給我們意見。
