I am a minimal decorator for seasons. The tree is really the only thing extra. I am actually enjoying it this year. The lights have not gone off in over a week! LOL I also hate putting it away. BUT, I am part of the "HOME ORGANIZATION CHALLENGE WITH A BOWL FULL OF LEMONS" group, and office is next weeks challenge. (Laundry room was this weeks, I did that two weeks ago already! LOL) My tree goes in the office, and some stuff needs to be put away that is part of the Christmas fun... haha It is like they knew what week two should be for me!

Very nice! I need to get in our closet and redo it. My hubby likes to hang on to his clothes, but he really only wears about 5-7 of the shirts he has. When we moved, he was already gone, working at the new job. I was able to clean out a lot of stuff, that way. Now, don’t get me wrong. I did FaceTime with him and found out what he absolutely had to keep, but mostly, he had what he wore with him. 😂 I made him get rid of about 10 jackets and coats, because we were moving to Southern Arizona. 😂 I knew he wouldn’t need that many! We got rid of shirts he’d had for 10 years and could no longer fit. Once I found out the things he really just had to have, I literally just dumped everything else into the donate pile. Honestly he hasn’t missed any of it! 😂 He still just wears the same 5- 7 shirts! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I live in a small 1200 sq ft rent house until we can buy. We chose the bigger bedroom because we have more furniture and a king size bed, but that gave our boys (6&3 years old) the much bigger walk in closet. I can’t wait to have a big closet where I can see all my clothes! I might wear more of them if I didn’t have to doling through our tiny closet just to find something

i am extremely organized but there are just some items of clothing i CANNOT get rid of… i’ll get there. for example, i have the cutest dress in size small. i will NEVER be a small again as that’s just not my body type. but it looks good in my closet. ; ) your closet looks AWEOME. and i love your tips! great music tooooooooo. i DO try to do the one in, one out… and i always have a bag to go to charity running.

Yay. It looks so good. I got my closet done not too long ago on getting things into place. I just need to put away some laundry tomorrow. I've been putting it off but I truly have no idea why. so proud of you ashley. i agree, pay in cash. you and chase did it the smart way. there were only about 6 months in my life that i was in debt. not a lot, but i hated it. it constantly felt like i didn’t do my homework. and i was extremely diligent about doing homework (in high school).

I wish our ceilings were that high so we could have a "seasonal" rod but we don't so have so many clothes at eye level. I did organize my clothes as I have less stuff. My husbands I organized by category but not by color yet because he has so much stuff that he doesn't wear that we need him to eliminate some of that stuff first.

This past Christmas we decorated only one area...the den and kitchen which included the tree, fireplace and the bar. That amount seemed just right for us. We love the Christmas season, but I do like having my home back simple now 😊. New hangers of the same color do make a difference. I simply purchased a box each month until I had all new hangers.

Your closet looks wonderful. Like you I color code my closet too. And all your bags are beautiful but please consider stuffing your bags more so you won't have folds or misshapen. Another blogger mentioned she uses here husbands old tees to stuff her bags...might work 🤔

We have not celebrated Christmas yet my parents tested positive for covid the week of Christmas. Than my 92 year old grandma who lives with my parents had health issues and we had to call 911 the day after Christmas and she just got to come home on the 3rd. So as soon as they all feel better we will exchange gifts and FaceTime while we open them. So Christmas decorations will be up for a while here😁

Looks great Ashley. I need to tackle my closet again. Did an initial purge last spring & got rid of all my old work clothes. I’m retired now so wasn’t sure what else was excess. So I’ve been putting stuff I wear on a lower shelf & notice I’ve been wearing mostly the same thing all the time. How’s the time to go through all the feast & donate most of it. Thanks for the inspiration.

I can’t bring myself to take Christmas down. I’m having a hard time finding something else to look forward to right now so I’m just prolonging the holiday season feel as long as I can.

I was feeling the same way, so I decided to decorate some for Valentine’s Day and it gave me something to look forward, so I now have all my Christmas down (except for the outside stuff.....raining forever) and I’m slowly decorating for Valentine’s Day. We were married on VD as well, so it makes our anniversary feel even more special having all the pretty pink, red and white decor. :)

We have that same vacuum and you can use the extra attachment to take out the inner thing in the vacuum and it makes it so much easier to clean out!!

I like how nice your new closet looks. But I was trying to make sense of your organization system you have for your clothes. I do understand the colors all being the same in the same location but I don't understand whether or not you are doing it by short sleeve then long sleeve or lightest to darkest in color. I think your closet is definitely asthettically pleasing to the eye but I'm definitely not sure how you are organizing it. Lol. Would you please explain this a little more in another video It? It looks pretty though...I love it.

With Christmas up the weekend before Thanksgiving, (we celebrate Christmas, the day after Thanksgiving with kids that can not come home at Christmas). I enjoy taking it down the day after Christmas and starting fresh for NEW YEAR. Understand your feeling about the new intro and it needs to look lived in, when we moved in July I want trees and grass so bad, but could not get things done fast enough, so take your time we are not going any place and your old one is a nice reminder how far you have come. Stay Safe till the next time
