I live in Oregon near the cascade mountain range and we cant light fires at all anymore . Once we hit summer they shut down all fire activity . Best time for hiking is April to June while the rain is still around. I really want to do hiking trips like this , I love bushcrafting esp knives . I make blades like you just blanks and handles but sheath work is hard for me. I can make pukko style sheaths pretty well but my hands have nerve issues....That said I aint quiting , i have been struggling with that issue ... Im really happy i found your channel, its inspirational man thanks for taking the time. Like and subbed. I have another channel Airiks Knife reviews which i stopped doing . Im gonna start back up I got a few blades I wanna share , your sheath work is killer . 👍

Wonderful video Drew! GREAT start to your vid with the train going over that cool box culvert! I can see why WC called his knife “bushmaster.” Great knife! Super steel edge that almost lasts forever. How aggressive is the sharpening steel that comes with it (did you have to purchase it separately?) ? Awesome story about Bergel,Bonzo & bear! You have wonderful bushcraft skills Drew. Your bushmaster got a hell of a workout & the edge remained very well. That copper wire stripping was something else 👍🏻. Really nice footage at the end with the butterflies,Bergel & Bonzo at the end.
