Loads of Bacon yes but if I were doing it again I might use something like a particleboard box. The tin ammo can just rattles and clanks too much . However the cardboard mockup that I had made for the cash box for the actual bullets was about perfect . So I actually used a cardboard box with the slope ramp in it for many months without changing it . It was originally intended to just be a proof of concept before I made a permanent box . The slope really helps in two ways: First it causes the bolts to slide out from under that in the impact area , second it means that any drips or spill will not land on a pile of bullets and thereby ruin them . I suppose another innovation would be to make a small slot the drips and someone would fall through but bullets would roll would roll across to speed up the separation. of course I was working on something much more significant the speed up machine . Perhaps I should show you a small video that if I still have one .

Those kinda need to be bolted or clamped down if you are going to put them on a cart. IMO they are kinda prone to tip over backwards and splash molten lead everywhere.

Was more thinking about just being able to move it around and out of the way when done. Be easy to sink a couple of screws through the base.

As I was shooting, the pot was empty. It is more stable when there is some thermal mass in the system. PIDs basically learn how slowly or quickly they need to cycle, and this was probably used to having ~ 40 lbs of melt in the system. I was just about to add more when I filmed. I shot this video more than 2 years ago, and didn't realize that I hadn't made it public until today.
