In both worlds, Plasma exists as a frequent type of offense, and Plasma burns at its very least twice as hot as the Sun. Chief’s shields and armor frequently has defended him against plasma. It’s not really saying anything that the Slayer can survive something considerably less intense.

For those who don't know about doom slayer..... his armor can withstand absolute hot.... which is the hottest temperature anything can possibly be. Which is approximately 1,420,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 degrees Celsius. Also his skin is more durable than his armor. Not to mention, he killed the creator of the multiverse and the creator of hell, which is the 7th dimension in the doom lore and its infinite and boundless by time and space. He was there during the first battle, meaning he had been fighting for countless eons in hell without taking a break. Also in the lore, the only reason he used guns.... is to give his opponents (aka literal gods and demons with immeasurable power) a chance
