I grew all kinds of peppers in 5 gallon buckets this year. It has been quite the journey, especially in this past hot summer. I live in Tucson, and it was 101 degrees just yesterday. Thank you for all your help and knowledge. I have what I consider a small micro farm, (I have a little flock of chickens). There is nothing like eating food I've grown, and, eating eggs that my lovely little hens have produced. Angela, you have been such a big blessing to me. I love to think that we are all Growing in The Garden, together.🌻

All my planting is now done in containers. I am 73 and can't bend down to deal with planting in ground. Besides the gardens have all been turned into pastures for my two old horses. Have containers of all sizes like you. Am growing veggies like kale, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, still growing some peppers and Japanese eggplant, lettuces along with different flowers. We'll see how the Winter Garden works out since my summer garden was a total disaster with the heat and no rain, plus I've been ill since January and just healing now! I love fall and winter gardening. Thanks for all the help. I grow in Glendale AZ also zone 9b

The lighting and photography in this video are beautiful! Would love to continue growing in pots here but they freeze solid. Zone 5b/6a. I'll remove the plants and half of the soil then store in-place, covered with heavy plastic. The 5 gallon grow bags will become insulation when placed next to cold frames. Yay God!

This time of year the courtyard doesn’t get much sun but gets full sun in the summer. Im mostly placing my plants in containers. I figure it will take a few years to get it to where I want it. Thank you for the helpful tips on gardening in Phoenix, the heat can be a challenge.

Well Angela. I’m in Portland Oregon. Zone 8B. My growing season is coming to an end. I just pulled my pepper plants from the ground and placed them in plastic containers. I will put them in the garage for the winter and see if they live. I will use mulch to winter in the rest of my garden. I’m working on making a music video to show the whole process. Next year I plan to set up lots of containers and start a container garden. Thanks for sharing your video tips. Have a great weekend. All my best.

Hi Angela, I love your content and have learned so much from your videos! I've bought the raised bed soil from Arizona Worm farm several times over the last 6 months and noticed that they aren't using vermiculite in the mixture any more, but perlite instead. Just wanted to mention it since your text in the video still mentions vermiculite.

We only have 3 raised beds, but we plan to use both containers and flat soil planting for next spring. I tried putting pollinators down the middle of each bed but they quickly got over shaded. I currently only have hibiscus in containers at this time and not finding much on how to protect them over the winter. Hoping to have a small kit greenhouse ready by the end of the month. Even though we are 9b we are at higher altitude than Mesa with an average first frost of October 26.

I just wish those olla things weren't so expensive. A poor folk way is using a milk jug with a super small hole for slow drip, put it where the roots are and just fill as needed, thats what I do everyday in the summer. You could probably spray paint them to make them blend in until the growth hides them too.

I have used the wine bottle cooler containers from Hobby Lobby in the terra-cotta area. Then I also get the terra-cotta saucers that will cover top.. in same area of store. I wait until they r on sale online and then run to store to inspect well. I tested them to b sure that moisture does come through - not all terra cotta looking things do…some are another material painted to look like T C. Has worked for me for a couple years - in one area I noticed lid kept getting pushed off (small animal of some type) so I put a small rock on it. So so much less$$.
