PSA for DD (for those that don't know). If you hold priority (e.g. with a Maxx C) for 1-2 minutes the bot will auto-surrender even if they are about to kill you. It does this as it's more time efficient for the bot to accept the loss and move onto the next match. This is for those that need 15 extra deck to be competitive.

Thank god for the N/R Festival or else I wouldn't be playing Master Duel at all right now.

the problem isn't that the deck is good. The problem is that they scoop when they go second which makes you feel robbed of the game you thought you were going to play. Even when it doesn't win it just ruins the ranked ladder by forcing players to try several times over to find a real opponent.

The best thing is that Konami isn't mentioning this at all. They're releasing new cards in 28 hours and there's literally nobody who's going to go play them because they die to Dynamite FTK or Igknight FTK all the same.

The bots are programmed to auto-surrender whenever they lose the coin toss. It makes it even more annoying to face them because you don’t even get a chance to try to beat them.

PSA: There's a variation of this deck where they'll FTK you if you have more than 11 cards, as they can use a spell that makes you take 1000LP. To be safe from this, cap your extra deck at 11 cards.

at launch konami were reacting at lighting speed at problems like these, the fact that it´s been 2/3 weeks and they haven´t done anything about it yet is so bad

This is just so painful, the state of the game. I really want it to be good, and have a fun experience with it, but then again... Konami not knowing how to balance a format and players literally breaking it faster than Konami can fix it is just a perfect storm of fucked up.

I so happy that I got my fill of Master Duel before this cancer took over ranked.

You see, the goal is not necessarily to climb ranks, that's an extra, the actual goal is to cheese wins because you have a chance of getting a bit of gems when you win, so you can have bots dueling and occasionally the game will drop you a bit of gems. You can have a bot dueling with that deck so they keep farming gems that way.

I started playing Witchcrafter with no extra deck abandoning my beloved Solfachords and Traptrix for the moment. Since it’s hilarious how many bots there are it’s usually a free win deck (it’s very fun actually)

It is surprising it took people this long to find and perfect the ftk decks. We lasted two months before the shitty banlist became a problem.

The sad part is that this will remain in the game until the ban list gets updated. Sad times

It's actually funny cuz I've been running a 13 cards extra deck since the beginning of the game, so when people quit on me I just get confused. It's a "beginner friendly" version of Dragonmaid.

The funny thing is that other KZfaq players had saw this deck being a problem sooner. While commenters had issues with drytron, and other decks that play heavy negates. That deck was hidden in the background.

There's a good Chance many of the Scoopers are just Bots since they auto scoop when going 2nd

I play Madolche and I set my extra deck to 13 after I went against 2 D.D players in a row then I never saw one ever again. Ranked was so infested with them but as soon as I started playing around it they just don't exist anymore ig.

I’ve been running true Draco’s with no extra deck so the bots instantly scoop when they play against me and it’s also control so even humans scoop when I flip monarchs erupt

I consider this to be a commentary on the Yugioh card game as a whole, in which case this is utterly embarrassing

Kind of a direct result of slow building gem economy and an unhealthy banlist for best of 1. People would rather daily grind playing mindless ftks rather than play a full game.

I feel like the cared about community feedback the first 2 months... then they went back on their word for the end season ranked rewards and stopped responding since.

It boggles my mind that Konami didn’t bother to put simple free duel instead of rank only… plat has literally less than 10 types of decks and not going first is most likely a loss. I would love to see in game LFG tournament that allows only Millennium saga, GX saga, etc

I just jumped on rank for the first time this season while watching this video. And of course it was a human playing Banquet. I know because they actually sat there contemplating their existence for 2 minutes. I assume because they saw my extra deck.

Idk why but Konami just release games and never update them. It happened with duel generation on, then legacy of the duelist/ link evolution. If they do it’s like 3 years after the release when nobody cares about the game. The only game they regularly updated was duel links, which isn’t a fun game with how much grinding u had to do, or spend £300 for a meta deck since pulling cards was completely kick based. Master duel needs a banlist update and some sort of human verification to stop these stupid FTK bots.

Looking back at old yugioh history to remind me that back then I only ever got Banqueted once as I wasn't running into them too much and when I did I was running Nurse Burn that season so I cut my extra deck to just 5 cards.

Platinum 1 is free play mode. With no way to rank down and no penalty it encourages you to just fuck about and do whatever you want. Which probably wouldn't happen if they had a regular free play mode....

Hand destruction and seven are really good cards and also is card destruction and I'm running a version which I still have to get the rest of the cards for in master duel that uses no monsters whatsoever and I have one with it just not consistent yet got to still work out the Kings but I'm still not going to run any single monster in it

Already found some of this decks in silver and gold here in brazil.... And some more insane variations that force you lose by sending the enritr deck to graveyard in turn 2 but having 3 "super luck 7"

Tbh, I am concerned about MD playerbase. There are many people that play MD daily but there are also many people that just want to have a good time. MD doesn't have retention value aside of dailies which sometimes are done in 5 minutes thanks to all the bots. I guess the events once a month are good but banlists for alternative formats don't stay. I have fun with a new deck every season but what does it stop people that just want to play a deck to quit out of boredom. I just imagine how good it would be to have more content, serious balancing (not a half assed copy paste of banlist)... And all comes together with the gracious monetization they have given us. Wait did you really read all of this, it is just my copypasta though I am kind of serious :P

Banquet of millions just confuses me. Most broken cards you can see what they were going for but then they become broken through interactions with other cards. But i can not for the life of me think of a way BoM could be used in a fair way. did they just go;"Banishing both Extra decks, sure ship it" What was the thinking process here? Who greenlit this? What were they smoking? and can i have some?

This is what happens when you don't update the game nor change the ban list. Shits gotten so bad I went back to Duel links and have been having a better time.

The best of one format is toxic af. Every deck is either an ftk or making an unbeatable board first turn deck. No side decking makes those decks thrive.

I don’t know if it’s the abnormal time of day I play or something (I work third shift) but I can go up to an hour without finding a legitimate match. It’s just nothing but Bot FTKs. Friday and Saturday I went on a 15 win streak with Thunder Dragons, and the impressive thing about it wasn’t all of the tier 1-1.5 decks I absolutely demolished, it was going 15 rounds without running into an FTK. You know what ended my win streak? The Pendulum FTK. Then the next four matches were also FTKs. I just gave up after that.

So this is where the DD bots at while i'm trying to get to plat 1 and find 0 DD bots and literally hundreds of Tri Brigade Lyrilusc and Drytrons ;-;

Its really annoying to see DD dynamite deck Other FTK decks, like the igknight one, or the dino one, they have alot steps and requires practice. You also got more chance to stop them with a hand trap(they are still annoying tho since this is a BO1 game) But this is really on another level. Most deck dong even got the chance to stop them.

ok so the FTK bots are a problem but while I have run into a few its not often enough to be a problem unless I need to activate cards for dailies.

I played 2 ranked duels today and one of them was against one of these bots. I bricked hard turn 1 so I passed turn without doing anything. I noticed something was off when the opponent activated Maxx C on my end phase.

This is the most "play 13 card extra and 15 handtraps" kind of thing ever. But honestly its stupid how many bots exist on ladder and they are clearly not limited to just 1 deck. Konami needs to prevent bots rather than ban bad FTK cards.

Literally happened to me today before the maintenance. Just went from plat 4 to plat 2 because the coin toss and then the bots just scooped when I went first.

I want to be super fair to Konami even though THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT by saying... Players cause these problems more so than the game itself. Players build ftk decks and quit as soon as they draw a poop hand. Players build cheap decks that allow zero interaction. Players want to win at the cost of having fun and because nobody wants to have fun, nobody has fun.

You need to keep in mind that this is plat I. People have already reached the highest rank so there’s no incentive to stick around in a duel you don’t feel like playing. Konami really needs to add something to keep you playing when you reach plat I. The legend rank system in hearthstone could be one solution. Having better rewards than legacy packs could be another

The solution is to create a surrender match making system like in super auto pets. If you surrender 3 times in x amount of time you get moved to another lobby. It would remove bots from lobbies very quickly.

I like to imagine the creatures that unironically play this deck are some pale, unwashed monsters that haven't seen the sun in years.

Best of One is really not the problem here. Konami just needs to realize that this game should be balanced around the fact that you only play a single duel and create a banlist that reflects that. This is neither the TCG or the OCG, its an entirely new thing, and it can be all the better for it if they decide to take drastic measures to accomodate this new format.

I couldn't get into play 1 last season since I *accidentally got to plat 5 and spend 5 days climbing with traptrix so far got into plat 2. It's either igknight bot or dd bot, dd bot is easy counter just run 13 ex then you auto win, igknight one tho pray you draw hand trap. And from all human interaction, 50% were drytron.

There's a simple solution to this problem just stay in gold, platinum is the bots territory now.

I haven't played in days. Got everything I needed from the event and hit plat 1 weeks ago. Waiting for the update on the 3rd is all I can do at this point before starting the new Season. If there is no ban list, I think playing the game at all is a waste of time at this point.

For those who curious: Bots always surrender if they don't get First Turn OR when the opponent plays a monstercard (atleast a bunch of Igknight FTKs are programmed that way). Konami has to adress this problem, easiest solving would be bann Cyber Stein, DD Dynamite, Banquett and other effortless FTK stuff bots can play without interaction with the other player.

Best of 1 IS largely the problem. Frankly I see no difference functionally between facing these bots and running into a human that: sets 5 pass without opening HFD/LS, ultimateness without kaiju, buster/rhongo lock, etc. The only difference is how much time elapsed after realising I just need to scoop for next game. And besides, hasn't YGO evolved into a game of fostering artists to "draw the out" for a while now?
