Really love what you did to this kit. The subtle weathering really makes it and compliments the hand painted aspect well. Honestly, this might be the only hand painted job I've seen that looks great.

Very good paint job. I'm totally with you on the Marasai being a "just okay" design and it is totally all in the color scheme. So I applaud your efforts at remedying that. I'm holding off on this kit. I will get it eventually, but I'm not wowed by it like I have been with other recently released kits.

I just retouched up my Marasai. 1) The back skirt splits even if you didn't paint them so it's not your kit or your paint job. 2) I cut off the finger tips of the five finger hand and re glue them bent inward now they can hold the beam submachine gun better than the trigger hand. 3) I made a clear flexible plastic collar to a led and attach it through the hole now it emits light for both the eye and the cockpit. Was disappointed with the kit then but now loving it!!!

When the marasai was announced I really hoped it would be in these colors as I like them better as well. Bandai does recolors all the time, hopefully they'll make one for this one since I suck at painting.

I can say that I do like the Marasai, it surely is a wicked looking Zaku upgrade, and I love the Zaku II, so I will most likely get it so I can assemble a nice Zaku evolution diarama

I want to get this kit and do the UC paint job but i want to wait and see if Bandai will release a dedicated MG UC Marasai with the Humbrabe's beam rifle and shock launcher.

Excellent paint job; it does look better in these colors than the Zeta colors.

I have similar issues with scratched paint when I use Games Workshop colors. I sugest youu put a laquer topcoat on and iy will take care of that issue. Just let the Polly Scale Dry 24 hours first. For my money the best flat lacquer topcoat is "Army Painter Anti-Shine". It's rock hard and gives an almost military flat look. You can get it at any good wargaming store.

I adore the Marasai; seriously, one of my favourite designs, Holy Grail kit. REALLY not a fan of the Unicorn colours, but I'm really liking the finish on yours. You seem to have a knack for hand-painting. You or anybody else have issues with the screw on the cover for the LED? I have never been able to have the damn thing screw shut properly. Awful little contraption, considering its price. Bought this myself, got to my door yesterday; didn't have exact change for tax. Damn you German postman!

Are you able to hold the secondary handle on the beam rifle with the left hand? would in theory be secure even with that trigger hand, of course only a real fix if you want the pose.

your marasai looks amazing! i think you mentioned those paints on twitter and i was really curious to see the result. oh and its "sieg zeon" not "zig zeon" ;D in german the "ie" is pronounced like a long english "e". so i guess it would be more like "zeeg zeon" :P

I like how your kit looks with the flash. If I were to get/repaint the Marasai, it'd look pretty good in that forest green w/ grey. However, I think I may just darken it from that hideous salmon to a fire engine red and the dark red to a burgundy. What I really want to do is get this guy, and the new Geara Doga as vanguard suits for the hope-to-be-coming Sazabi Ver. Ka.

the dark green is right but the lighter green is supposed to be an olive drab color

if I were to custom repaint I would like it in marine colors but yeah I also didn't really like the red colors too.

Thats very nice recoloring althought personaly I am more fan of orginal colors from Zeta Gundam.

I absolutely hate the hands on this kit. Crappy wing-hands. Ok. Fine. I've accepted them. I pretty much had to. But don't freakin taunt me with poseable hands that can't hold a damn thing. The wing-hands can barely manage to hold the gun. No tabs or slots. Seriously. What the hell were they thinking?
