@@Liz-qb1ki i think jype doesnt treat itzy good too, jay park (a former member of 2pm) said that the company is so strict with rookies group and trainees to the point where it turns into a physical abuse, im not a once but i remember in sixteen when something happened with body shaming jihyo so i dont think they’re nice to twice either, theres a lot of articles about jype’s mistreatment to their idols you can check them for more informations

But I think that's also how you kill off their creativity and style. Like in BTS, Jimin is modern dance style and J-hope is hip-hop off the street. The way they approach dancing is different. Maybe lift their arms or legs at a different angle, or more waves, or a bit slower. It gives them individuality in the group. Obviously, I don't blame the girls at all and applaud them for the dedication. I've seen Chaeryoung in Sixteen and it's a shame to see her trained like this.

Other companies sometimes teach their artists to have an attitude and to be demanding and act like celebrities, but JYP is the opposite. Producers and staff on shows always praise Twice and SKZ for being so good and humble because it's drummed into them from when they're trainees

Tbh I always praised SM for the vocals. Yg for swag and grace attitude. Then again bighit with just BTS their humbleness. I always thought jyp was overrated because of some past songs. But after wonder girls. It all changed for me. He is really like a dad to all his trainees. Strict but firm. Respect!

Dhi he clearly instills this in all the groups who debut with JYP, as TWICE is well know to exhibit these qualities even now that they are so famous, & there was a great scene in the Stray Kids tv show where he taught the group this lesson. Obviously it’s a tv show & they all know the cameras are on, but it seems like a genuine thing to me, & I agree that it’s a big part of why I, too love JYP groups the best :)

Lee Seung Gi is a gifted person. I am so jeolous of him. He is handsome, he has a gorgeous face as well as beautiful voice to sing. His friendly manner makes him so attractive that I can not stop my self watching him. No wonder he is successful

People say he's mean and all..but generally.. it's a very normal thing with our parents as Asians. Most of us Asians grew up with this level of strictness and work ethic taught to us by our parents. Yeah it may seem unreasonable and all..but it's what made Asian culture the way it is today. As Asians, our mindset is this: You are only successful as a parent if your child is successful and exceeds you. If as a parent/boss, you don't instill values into your students or children, then society will define them for you.

To add to your comment, even with this in mind, his efforts into making his company the best possible environment for his trainees and his employees make him one of the better "Asian parents" out there. He's strict and detail-oriented but he isn't outright demeaning to ITZY, keeping his comments as constructive critique and not devolving into insults or curses. And from what I've gathered, he's definitely softened up as he's growing older.

I think SM used to be very2 strict to the artists and it results to their loss of artists (like some exo-m members), so instead of changing their way they just try to find the obedient type? Lol. As far as I know "Honesty, humility and diligence" also said by JYP before in SIXTEEN forgot what episode it is, but I think it is from the episode of they were on a retreat. He's really putting a lot of work to train he's artists not just to be an entertainer, but also to have a good attitude and be a good role model to the youth as KPOP idols. Edit: Just watched it, it's episode 7 I think the subtitle is a bit different in word instead of diligence they used integrity, but upon comparing the Hangul it is the same. Watch it if you want it's around @21:30 JYP is indeed a good CEO. "When JYPE announces their artists we want them to be a good people before they become good singer." - JYP , 2015 SIXTEEN Episode 7.

Honestly jyp artists arent being trained to be famous and successful but to be the great performance. Though their music isn't favoured by everyone, their performance is definitely worth seeing. Even if you arent a fan, you'll feel great by watching them and thats what performers should be.

This is what a good mentor does. A good mentor won't just say, "You did good. The end." (Which is nice to hear to keep it positive) They'll point out good things, yes, but also the things that needs improvement, even the smallest thing. I don't think JYP was being harsh at all. (I've seen much worse) Detailed, yes. But I think he's just being a good mentor and coach, as he should be. It's just like going into a sport. You'll get coached, and a good coach will motivate you, as well as point out the things you need to improve to be the best version of yourself.

I imagine the report cards from JYP trainers will not only contain the grade on subject but also on attitude and characters they observe in JYP trainees. These kids are so young during training years that making sure they grow up with the right mind is important to JYP. He must have seen many careers cut short because of attitude and mind gone wrong. Fame and fortune are beasts that can devour the beholders. When these young people became famous and rich, knowing how to be a person became very important to avoid tempatation.

Watched the full episodes of this and i have a new found respect for JYP. He is meticulous and tenacious on everything he does. He cares for the well being of his staff. This is why he is so successful.

It’s cute how Sungjae steps up a bit more since his hyungs are so nervous. It doesn’t 100% feel like his normal self with BTOB or MitH. It’s like he switched back to idol mode where seeing idols isn’t anything special because he’s seen, MCed for, and is a sunbae to so many of them.

I really love jyp artist. I stan Got7 first then i became twice. Then now itzy. He really treat them like a family. That's what I've love about him. Also twice was been bashed because of their lack of singing skills and they questioned jyp for that. But little did they know. JYP not picking his artist not only by their skills and talent but also a good characteristics. They must be good inside and out. Now. Look at got7 then twice. They're not only talented and skilled but a good influencer to us. And now he brought itzy to us. They bound so perfectly and has a respect for their seniors. This is what jyp looking for his artist. They're might not be the best but the way they treated each of them as a family is a big plus and as we all know he's a busy person but he really trying his best to look and check for his artist whereabouts. This what we need in this industry. Not treated as a robot.

JYP is like my fav teacher. He can be your friend and even a parent but when inside the classroom, he will be really strict because he has to do his job and we have to do ours.

it’s a hard industry to be successful in, I think that’s why a lot of the people in the industry need to understand like that no one will carry you during the hard times; it’s up to YOU to how committed you are to YOUR own success. I think that’s why it’s such a global and huge industry is BECAUSE of how hard they work, but still though, I don’t think that gives a right for anyone to ever feel like they’re better than others because everyone has one common goal, to be the best. JYP has his flaws but he’s trying his best to navigate a very harsh industry, foster young women to grow into themselves, not letting media overwhelm them, and still trying his best to stay humble but determined. Kpop is a really lackluster industry underneath all the success but it’s why we stan because our idols endure so much and deserve their wins

I think I've found out the reason why I'm so attached to JYP artists, it's because they've been brought up with good values. Personally, Honesty, Diligence and Humility are one of the values I really uphold in my life, and seeing JYP artists living out these values just puts me at ease.

Not trying to put much credit on JYP for BTS success, but I believe BigHit CEO learn something from JYP, then implement some to his new group. That's why BTS became successful. Not just because of their talent but also their character and personality. It's not something everyone can achieve within a night. Just look at today's scandal. Too messed up. I hope no new idols get involve in that kind of issues

JYP has a really good eyes on talent. He saw BangPD then he asked him to work with him. There wouldn't be BTS if JYP didn't saw BangPD. Don't @ at me for those trainees that left JYP or were not picked. It's just not their destiny just like IU, if IU was accepted in JYP, she will not be the same IU that we have noe. IU strive hard & made songs thinking of her past hardships that she went through on her career

Thats not how it works... BTS were never BH's plan they just happened to debut by a series of events. Has nothing to do with JYP or Bang SIhyuk's will to only gather good personalities

@@kooyaaaa I think it's a mixture of both. BPD used to work with JYP and are good friends with him. Saying that BPD nor JYP never had anything to do with it is kind of baseless. BTS definitely worked extremely hard to where they are now (it wasn't a coincidence, saying so belittles their hardships as a group) and ARMY's fell in love not only to their music but also their personalities. There is a possibility that some values that were promoted by JYP to his company would somehow influence BPD's future work values for his company.

@@ifellinlovewithyoo1698 This is called a syllogism, its not only assumption based but also very faulty. JYP isn't Bang Sihyuk or BTS's mom. Bang Sihyuk most likely already had his own morals and values before becoming ""friends"" with JYP and BTS already had a good personality before becoming bh trainees. Its a hugee reach to pretend that a CEO being logical and rational (meaning caring about the artist's personality) is something that JYP pioneered, especially since he only debuted 3 groups before Bang Sihyuk casted Namjoon.
