1. "What does your hero want?" -> "What does your customer want?" - conserve money, make money, save time, increase status, connect with others 2. "Who or what is keeping the hero from getting what they want?" -> Position the item/service as weapons they can use to defeat their enemy. 3. What's at stake? -> What's the cost of doing nothing? Fear + Hope. Promise a positive transformation.

This book was probably the best one I read in the last couple years. I read some of Donald Miller's others, but this was the best in my opinion. I highly recommend the audible version of it.

I’d describe this book as marketing through tactical empathy. Letting the customer know, you know their struggles/wants and have a unique solution catered just for them.

This is good, and it's relevant, what I struggle with is, convert it into an example. Aka, Blockbuster BLEW IT. They let Netflix, kill them. How does it translate. Aka, give me an example of a brand that set the example of how, to do all three things, so I can real life this. Thanks.
