Hey everyone, it's Will from Scooter Ready! In this video, I walk you through all the features of the Bosch Purion system. This is a must-watch for anyone interested in electric bikes and their functionalities. I start by showing you how to turn on the system and explain the various indicators on the screen, such as the speed indicator, level of assist, and battery state of charge.
We dive into the different levels of assist: Eco, Tour, Sport/EMTB, and Turbo, explaining each mode's functionality and power output. I also cover the Bosch Performance Series and Performance CX, discussing the EMTB mode, which automatically adjusts the level of assist based on your riding.

Hello Jim. To change units of measurement simply hold down the "-" button and tap the Power button once. This will switch between MPH & KPH.

Excellent tutorial, thank you. Had my Raleigh Motus for around 5 weeks and only discovered it had other functions by accidently changing from KPH to MPH this morning, which triggered me to google for further info. I'd literally only been using the speed settings as per the default screen. I'm very happy to learn of these additional functions. Bought via the Internet, and it didn't mention anything of the display changes on the Evans website... and if it's in the manual, I obviously skipped past this part 😂. Thanks again. Currently drinking Aldi ZX Cola

Glad i seen this video my dealer pretty much passed me the bike and didnt really tell me anything about it. So i didnt even know about the batteries in the display and some of the modes on the bike. Really informative and happy to leave you a like 👍

Great and clear video. My new whyte e505 uses the purion and I was a little disappointed that it was missing features. Now I know how to find the features. Shame there is no Bluetooth but the watch and phone can handle that. And drinks… cup of Yorkshire tea. Proper tea from the UK

Great video! I'm just missing the info that how LONG has my ride been ongoing. Its really odd that is missing from display. Any possibities to get via software update?

I have this system on my Cannondale Quick NEO EBike. Display is easy to read and use. I did a lot of research, checked out bikes, and the Bosch system came out the best. Very satisfied with my bike and have ridden 9000 km so far. Cannondale now only offer rear wheel drive on touring bikes sold in Oz. A backward step. The assistance level should be on all the time, not just when you are changing the assistance level. I have guess what level the assistance is on by the range left in battery.

If you followed the instructions on how to engage the walk assist and lights and they don’t work, then you are correct that the dealer will need to activate these for you via the Bosch dealer software

Hello i got a ebike with bosch cx gen 4 and the bike had a really cheap and weak headlight. So I got a new Lezyne power pro e115. But the light dont look as strong as pictures and videos from other people who have the same light. Does this have to be fixed in the software? I got purion same as in this video.

Hello, this is not really something that we can really assist with. The light is 310 lumens and can handle either 6 volts or 12 volts. Suggest reaching out to your retailer where the light was purchased from to see. The Gen 4 output is 12 volts so this is the max output for the light.

Hello. To change the 📏 units press the “-“ button and “On/Off” power button and this will change the measurement units between Kph and Mph. Hope this helps and thanks for checking out our video.

The Bosch mid drive system does not permit adding a throttle to the system. The bikes are all pedal assist only.

Hello, that depends on what exactly you mean by "used". If you mean the Purion 200, then the Bosch eBike Flow app will be used for everything smart system moving forward with the upcoming Purion 200 being a part of that ecostystem. The app will offer updates and configuration options for the Purion 200. Hope that helps!

No as the Purion is part of the Bosch System 2 ebike systems. The Flow APP is for bikes powered by the Bosch Smart System.

This can only be removed from your Bosch ebike retailer who has the diagnostics software. They will be able to also remove any future reminders if you elect to do so. Hope this helps.

Just picked up my new eBike and noticed that my lights are on by default. Holding the "+" does nothing and lights are on as long as the Purion is on. any idea how to correct?

This means that the dealer has set the display to be always on. To disable this the dealer will need to connect their software to the bike to allow it to turn on/off manually

Great question. Depending on which display you have you can either do this yourself or for a display like the Purion, you will need to have your dealer do this for you. Check your owners manual as to whether your display allows you to change this yourself.

Hello David. With the Purion system you will not be able to use the Bosch APP. This APP will only work with the Kiox and Nyon systems. The 2 connected displays are available as standard equipment on some ebikes. If the batteries run out on the display will you lose all assist?

No you won't. We recommend changing out the batteries once every 3 years or so as preventative maintenance.

Is there any way to turn the lights on and make them flash on and off?

Flashing lights will be dependent if the lights have this feature built in. The Bosch system simply supplies power to the lights. The circuit board in the light is what permits a flash mode. Check with the light manufacturer’s website to see if the model of light you have has this feature built in.
