Materbatching isn't just a funny word! It's also a really useful tool for busy makers... with the holiday season breathing down our necks I thought now was the perfect time to add a masterbatching video to accompany the incredibly useful blog post Amanda wrote in October!

Yesss! Amanda wrote this recipe after Robyn told her the humidity in Houston was too high for bubble bars-they would literally never dry! WonderBar was definitely a game changer!

This is a KD8000 and you can find them on Amazon! There are also some soap suppliers that carry scales!

I'm about to master batch my WB for the first time. About how long does it need to sit for the chemical reaction to make it a smoother pipe? BTW I absolutely love WB, had it for over a yr now, thank you y'all for all your hard work to bring us this magic!!!

How long does it take for the frosting to dry (to package)?

That will depend on the humidity of your environment and if you use a dehumidifier in your work space! Mine take about a week. If I turn the dehumidifier off it might take about a week and a half. When I was in Florida the dehumidifier Amanda had was wayyyyy more powerful than mine and the frosting was dry in about 4 days!

I mistakenly purchased polysorbate 20 instead of 80 will it still work the same way? thanks

They aren’t identical, but in a pinch they can be swapped out in bath bombs. Poly 80 is heavier and thicker and can handle more oil than poly 20. It wouldn’t really work in a body spray, but it’s great for bath bombs. 20 on the other hand is usually for lighter oils and is commonly used in room/body sprays or other products where you want to solubilize small amounts of oil into water based products, but if it’s all you have for bath bombs it’s better than nothing 😉
