Mastercam Productivity Plus is an add-on that extends Mastercam CNC programming functionality to include feedback from probes. Scott Lindsay takes us through the setup of two very common types of automation.
The first type of probe operation locates the part and updates the work offset. These types of offsets are common and simply feed information back into the program for the tool size, part size, or part location.
The second type of operation confirms the roughed geometry is the correct size and performs a tool wear offset. It takes this one step further by checking for geometry that is within tolerance, out of tolerance that requires rework, or out of tolerance that requires scrap. This very simple and easy-to-use toolset makes your CNC programs more powerful and automatic.
