Another way to do the job quicker, no need additional calculations.
No ball end mill, short cutting time
Actual surface finish depends on the precision of the angle of the cutting tool.

Great presentation! Question, can you recommend a good surface toolpath for machining side walls from 0-90 degrees with an up and down motion on the z-axis?

GIANG THE TOOL No I'm not at work today so I can't provide you with a picture. Basically what I want to machine is the corners of a pocket that has a 1/2 inch radius and reduce it to a 1/8 inch radius. The pocket is deep that's why I want the cutter to go up and down. One way because I'm limited on flute length and a don't want the cutter to snap off if you know what I mean. I would like it to work as a ruled toolpath but on a solid.
