Not sure about Masterchef, but on Netflix there's a series called Final Table. That's some of the top chefs across the world put into teams and put against each other for the duration of the competition. Sort of the same as Masterchef, got the same vibe, but learnt a lot more from it. Maybe you should check it out.

I think Barrie is better than Thea in terms of creativity and innovation. He only lacks experience maybe. He just made a mistake in cooking the beef. He undercooked it. If only he didn't, i believe he'll be up against Trevor next.

Bryan Timothy we are talking raw meat, idk y judges in Canada master chef make contestants think what they so called “medium rare” is good practice on meat but the truth is not many people can eat that. I mean human eat well cooked food as sign of civilization, if people eat raw meat then what’s the difference between human and animals. Secondly, Gordon Ramsay used to say well done beef is the art, and what they so called medium rare is a joke with no cooking technique inside of it

There is literally no hate we're just stating facts, Thea didn't deserve to get to the finals, she cried every time something was wrong with her dish and there were many times something was wrong with her dish, it's right there. Matter of fact she screwed up more times than some contestants who were eliminated long before her COMBINED which just proves that she got there not because of her skills but because of others' screwups

I dont think Gordon would respond in such a rude manner. In one interview, he explained that he treats cooks from Master Chef differently than on Hells Kitchen, because in Master Chef those are all home cooks while in Hells Kitchen, all of them are professional and he just gets angry at their amateur mistakes.

Thea worked really hard to get to the finale it’s so unfair that people always say Barrie deserved the spot more than she did. “if his meat was cooked more he would’ve made it” WELL IT WASNT. The judges agreed it was borderline raw. Also, Thea’s dishes were more innovative than Barrie’s. What she lacked in sophistication or plating she more than makes up for in technique and flavor

Unlike other home cook ( i think is Kaila but forget which epi ), Barrie honestly admitted that the expected beef he was looking for is medium rare. I guess most of the home cook just say what they expected based on the final result of their protein.

It's funny how the judges always say that you have to know the cuisine you're cooking with, but when it comes to German cuisine, I have the feeling that no one loses a word about authenticity. Thea's Schnitzel had to be half as thick and double as large and you don't serve it with Spätzle.
